Dalzell board unanimous: 'no' to concert venue - LaSalle News Tribune - LaSalle, IL

The Dalzell Board recognizes that they are elected by the people and they respect them with their decisions. Perhaps we could send our council there for some training. I speak with recent decisions regarding both the concert and the pickleball fiasco here in Peru.

Often thought that Peru and LaSalle should be combined into one city and should also take Dalzell into their city limits. Now I think From all appearances of the government management of the concert issue Peru should hope for Dalzell to take it into their city limits.
Gloria Orlandi for Mayor of Dalzell-Peru.

Dalzell has their heads in the sand or they are holding for more money.

The City of Peru stand to receive the huge sum of $7500 if the Kid Rock Concert is a sellout of 15,000. This would amount to $2500/5000 tickets sold.
Peru is the city that has its head in the sand because it is spending a lot more money than $7500 to allow this event to be staged at the airport. Peru has already spent approximately 3x's as much as it will receive and has yet to be paid this amount back, plus the unknown bad will created with the previous property tenants of 37 acres of farmland and the FAA.
Dalzell is not holding for more money. Dalzell is holding for a nice, quiet comfortable community which they have and want to keep that way. The governing body of Dalzell asked the people what they wanted and acted accordingly, can you say the same for the political representation of Peru?

Newstribune notes. The City of Peru Alderwomen Sherry Mayszak will be bring up a vote for a City Pool? Is that all it takes is a vote? Will the residents of Peru get a say? The article states that she will just bring this up for a vote. Must be tired of the fundraising? I guess its that easy in Peru. Spend millions of dollars without a thought, because she wants a pool? I wonder what the Mayor of Pool closings will react to this. The city didn't have money for years. Now this is election season and it appears he won't say no.
