I believe the public works also agreed to a pay freeze. We seem to have an abundance of money on hand. We're constantly buying new vehicles, lawnmowers, buildings, equipment, signs. etc. I guess our debt ($40 million at one time) has disappeared.
Anon 9:40 Did you buy those political games that the last election played on Peru's? Remember all the political gameship the TEAM played with Peru's finances? Do you remember about the open and complete transparency pledge? And what about Peru People having a voice? Ask the 28th street residents about this. Dragging a chain across the pool didn't really solve the pool problem. Did it? Did the new plan and review committee really bring business to Peru? Or chase business away? Didn't the team make mention that the airport wasn't a city obligation? Should we really be using it for Peru Paid Private concerts instead of economic progress? And how many of those public employee unions does Peru now have? Are Peru residents and employees that much better off with all those recent public employee unions?
