Over a year to prepare the land in Dalzell for a concert, but they're doing it at the aiport in just over 60 days. Something is not right. They had better hope there is no rain leading up to or on the day of the Kid Rock concert, or it's going to be a complete mess.

I noticed that MS Noonan said she had FAA approval to hold the concert at the airport but everyone else has said they (FAA) never give approval but leave it up to the cities who will bear the responsibility for any problems occurring. Our Mayor has said they will never put it in writing, so where is she getting her approval. Is it from our city as how can a private citizen seek approval for a concert held on city property?

Unfortunately Ms. Noonan is ONLY partially correct. On June 4, 2012 the Illinois Department of Transport Division of Aero approved the "event" on behalf of the FAA in regard to an AIR SPACE REVIEW ONLY!!

The second part of the checks and balance of protecting tax payer dollars, FAA Grant Assurance, has NOT been ascertained and left to the City. An alderman who also is a pilot instructed me "not to make any phone calls".

Of course that alderman is one of the yes men!
J.L. will never get reelected.

Kristy, Presently you have my vote. J.L. had 0 VOTES in the 2009 election, 0 VOTES in the 2011 election and will get darn few in the 2013 election. Since when is it your alderman's business of how many phone calls you make and to whom you make them? People should be very leery of government officials who lean toward a police state of government.

It will be VERY important for residents in 4th ward to watch what occurs on the west end of Peru behind Sycamore Lakes Subdivision where the field floods...since the Mayor has been desperately trying to "dry" the field spending Tax payer funds and this property is extremely close to Ms. Noonan; I could see this as a potential future venue for concerts! Right in OUR back yards!

Don't worry Kristy, the Mayor hasn't been able to dry that field in three years and has only eleven more months to go.

That's because the Bernal property would not sell-now it's sold and if his "pieces" are still together and all his "tax payer funds...he already mentioned the broken tile at a meeting.
