Will it take legal action for Peru to listen?

Consider that the newly created Peru logo (created not by the city) is "Act First Think Later" is continuing to cause more issues because of more poor decision making. Everyone from the top (Mayor) to the (Aldermen) to the Recreation Commission believe that once they make a decision, it is etched in stone and legal binding and cannot be rescinded.

Rumors abound about seeing how legally binding this is considering the repercussions that have resulted from the action of the above mentioned governmental bodies.

Wouldn't you hope that any decision any government body makes would be for the best interest of the majority and not for just 1? Wouldn't you think all avenues would be pursued and all involved would be included in the discussion before a decision is reached? That to me would be true government-one of the people, by the people, for the people. Many decisions are made in haste and then the repercussions begin. A government that explores all roads before making a decision is more apt to succeed.

Can someone please explain to the average citizen who has taken an interest in their government how l individual can make a request, expose a problem, or ask for something to be changed and their voice is heard while others just ask to be listened to and their request falls on deaf ears? Is it true that it's not what you know but who you know? Is it true that you have to be someone of importance in the community? Is it true that it doesn't hurt that you have a family member involved in government in some manner? I think all citizens should be given an equal opportunity to voice their concerns and should be treated accordingly.

If you have a serious question you want answered, try asking a question at a city council meeting, you be the judge of the response you get, and then take that response with you to the ballots this upcoming election.

Simple

1. Stop asking for the purpose of results instead ask for the purpose of documentation. Ask questions with the intention of having documentation of an answer so when results aren't achieved documentation can be referenced for future action. Recall lack of action by the City indeed IS an action!

TRUE DOCUMENTATION!!!!'. NEVER TAKE SOMEONES WORDS OF MOUTH AS THE TRUTH. All documents, not just a little. Most of the time when partial documents are disclosed and not all, something is being covered up.
