Lois,

This was no doubt the best posting you have ever done. I laughed at the movie and watch in amazement that people are so crazy they need to do u turns instead of taking a few moments to follow the proper traffic flow. I love the fact that people are so defiant in regards to a very simple thing. This is not that important people that you need to do illegal u turns and cross traffic to a bank's parking lot so you don't have to go out of your way...there are rules in life everyone and this is just one more of them. Move on..and follow the traffic cones!

Who would believe that Peru was to be have pickle ball and automotive Pac Man shoved down our throats in the same summer?

THIS IS A STUPID DESIGN. PUT IT BACK THE WAY IT WAS. IT WAS EASIER TO GET WHERE YOU WANTED TO GO. CHANGES AREN'T ALWAYS BETTER. GREAT VIDEO, LOIS.

Leave it to the city it didn't work in July 20 of 2002 why do they think it will work now .I for one don't , think so ! So now what ? we just keep waiting for an accident to happen or just keep ticketing people or spend tax papers money to have a cop their all day ? you tell me . Nice vido Lois .

Except that "following the rules" is going to add a mile and a half or so to the route. It's not "a few moments."

People are not going to do it. People from out of town are going to get confused and angry. This "solution" is colossally stupid.

Did Mayor Harl see this plan before it was enacted? If so, it shows how bright his light bulb is.

I observed this intersection for a while today. I say many U-turns being executed, people making lanes where there were none, and many turns being made in old wal-mart parking lot. All this and the stop sign on the corner by dairy queen hasn't been removed as of yet. That will create many more problems.

Laughing my living ass off!! And we paid how much for this professionally designed well thought and analyzed business plan ONCE AGAIN???

Keep it up. Put these no-nothings in there place (out of office and out of a job). A minor job and problem, CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW YOUR TAX DOLLARS ARE BEING USED ON MAJOR PROJECTS AND WHAT ISN'T NEEDED TO BE SPENT? GOODBY MAYOR HARL!!!!! NOT SOON ENOUGH!!

To whomever the brilliant mind was to construct a change in traffic flow at venture drive has "COMPLETED THE MOST BRILLIANTLY STUPID TRAFFIC FLOW".

The businesses to the north will suffer and when christmas rolls around WATCH FOR TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS AT THIS INTERSECTION. I hope the city will stand behind the financial consquences at that time.
Get the city attorney ready ..

Once AGAIN how STUPID TO MAKE THIS CHANGE.

Went to home depot to get gardening supplies Monday. After getting through this mess I said "screw it!". Went to Rural King! Oh yes, I could have just continued to Home Depot, but to prove my point I didn't and took my business elsewhere. So, to all the businesses that are being affected by this intersection design, you can send your Thank You notes to Mayor Harl, Peru's City Council, and don't forget Chamlin. And Christmas cards to them also when the holiday comes. And put a 25% discount coupon in with the card. Also, maybe taxpayers will buy DQ coupons for free cones to pass out at Halloween to draw some business!

On Tuesday evening I witnessed a pick-up truck with FF (firefighters) plates DISOBEYING the signage at this intersection. It is the same pick-up that I've seen at peru's fire department in Peru. Now, what does that yell you? Will they be ticketed? And NO, the truck wasn't on a fire call. Amazing.

Hey, I lost my job due to a business that closed in Peru. I'm 37 years old and I need money. Does anybody know if and how I can get a copyright to this video so I won't be sued so I can enter it to "funniest home videos (t.v. Show) in the hopes I can win $100,000 dollars? I think if I won Peru would get a piece of the pie (tax revenue) on my winnings. So it's a win, win situation for the city and me. Amazed at this intersection.

I didn't see anybody with a mesh nylon NEON orange and green vest holding a one foot flashlight directing traffic. What a mess and it didn't seem that it was a busy time of the day. I guess that the best thing to do is ride your bicycle with baskets on it up there to shop. Don't bicycles have the right of way more so than vehicles? Kudos to the city of Peru, another job well done.

City of Peru should have a safety driving fun fair up at DQ. Advertise it, FREE BLIZZARDS (small ones). Corral all the city trucks, cars, police vehicles, fire command vehicles, fire trucks, water tankers, dump trucks, etc.. And have a demonstration with all vehicles on how to maneuver. Peru, advertise this event in your next new newsletter and hopefully all the grandmas and grandpas will show up. Or Peru, take immediate action and fix your mistake.

Ill confess that I do read these blogs and on occasions do blog. I went to mi margarita and had a couple of cold ones with my dinner. Went home logged onto my computer, watched this video, laughed. Went to bed, had to watch it again to make sure I saw what I watched. Low and behold, it wasn't the cold ones I had that night it was really what I saw on this video. There has to be a plan B. Come on Harl and alderman, fix it!

Subperb video. After watching it a couple of times I had to double check my auto insurance policy to make sure my premiums are paid before I venture up to Ventura Drive in case I'm involved in a fender bender. Imagine what the mess traffic going to be over the holidays. We haven't seen nothing yet in my opinion. And to think my taxpayers paid an engineering firm to design this mess is a major mismanagement of funds from all of the taxpayers. SAD SAD SAD. Cameras dont lie and neither does videotapping.

Wal-Mart use to sell those 3ftx3ft colorful rugs, which anyone could get their matchbox cars out and pretend they're driving and turning on the roads. I'm wondering if one of these was used as an exhibit, either A or B at the council meeting when designing the new intersection? Imagine being a drivers education instructor and taking your student up there. If it were me the instructor after having my student maneuver through that mess I'd have them park at mi margarita and I would go to the bathroom and sneak a cocktail to calm my nerves. P.S. And the car would need new brakes. Like video, intersection design is terrible.

I remembers those rugs, bought one for our grandsons. Mine got shipped out of town

This video is comical. However, it doesn't do the intersection any justice. It's alot worse than what us shown here. Go there at a time where there
Is more traffic and you will be stunned. The above blogs are funny and it would be interesting to see the faces of those involved in the designing and voting of this intersection when they read those above blogs. The drivers Ed instructor is the funniest one. How could anyone not laugh so hard that they produced tears. VOOM VOOM!
