Fireworks in Peru tomorrow I guess

Sure is hard to get any information about what is going on tomorrow. All I can say is that sometime tomorrow a beer tent will be set up manned by the CSO in the alcohol zone.

I don't know what is happening in the No Alcohol zone but $2000 was supposed to be allowed for that area but no one including the city web site gives us a clue.

How many thousand do you believe will be there this year? Many we should have a jar of jelly beans and try to guess how many, that might just as successful as getting information from city officials. Not one word was mentioned tonight at the council other than they believe the danger issue has been resolved at the demolition site.

Just guessin', but I betcha there will be a whole buncha people watching the fireworks that will start shortly after dark. Sorta like years past. Might see a few folks having a nice cold refreshing cocktail or beer. Probably see a whole lot of people sweating uncomfortably, and in general, just a repeat of years past. I don't understand whatever mystery you are trying to create here....

Trying to find out if there will be some bands there and if so, who? Food vendors? Pre fireworks activities? Perhaps some entertainment? Because truthfully we are kind of looking like a bunch of duds compared to other cities this year.

Where are the bus stops that pick people up and take them down to waterstreet ? Maybe more of us would go if the details were given out. I don't want to drive down there and there is a bus but no bus stops? Does it swing by the Ambassador' s houses guess? We need details.

Well...if you had been following the "Dynamic Daily Disappointment")...aka News Trib, there have been fragmented reports covering the answers to all of your questions.

Peru will be celebrating with a large fireworks display at 9:30pm. There will be refreshemnts and bus transportation available. There is a alcohol free zone. The CSO will again sponsor the entertainment prior and after the event. Peru recreation will be in cherge of the kids area with inflatables. Much the same as years past. I don't believe a pickleball demostration is scheduled. I guess pickleball is like a flash mob in which the game can pop up anywhere. There will be thousands of people and it will be very hot. Many will be bringing coolers filled with beverages. That is the happenings for the last 20 years! There is no conspiracy or last minute changes to Baker Lake or Washington Park. Enjoy or Not, its your choice. Remember we are celebrating Americas Independence. Last I looked that Independence we take for granted is more in doubt than ever before.

I'm still waiting for Rod to pull something from his bag of tricks to screw up the fireworks. I thought for sure he would have canceled it due to the heat.
Lois- get to work early tomorrow. I'm sure reports will be coming in early.

I thought there was a fire ban by order of the city fire marshal. No open burning and this includes fireworks, I read in the daily mistake. So how are there going to be any fireworks if they are banned?

11:20 have you heard of citizen arrest? Every city needs a Barney Fife.

So like I asked before where are the bus stops? ?
Or do I just stick out my thumb and a bus magically appears like Harry Potter? ?

I attempted to answer your question about buses going to Water Street by calling the City Clerks Office, they looked for the information but it seems they don't have it.
It turns out that I would need to call the CSO perhaps Ald. Ankiewicz.
I do stop asking at that point so Perhaps you might want to call, his number is (815) 223-8148 Or perhaps you might know another member of the organization.

It's 100 degrees, the Fire Chief has issued a no burn no fireworks clause, the bus schedule is a secret. Forget it, I'll stay home in the AC.
