What is Appropriate on this Blog

I have just received a post signed Geo which I am not going to put on this blog. We are not here to discuss non elected individuals, this is about government and those who have chosen to put themselves into that arena. Regarding the names given to Ald. A., no in my naivete, I did not know what was referred to as others who I asked did not either. Maybe it was a male joke not discussed in polite company.

I will not post about someones personal life and what they have or have not done and whatever problems they have encountered even when aware of them.

I do have boundaries. Sometimes I will ask the individual about putting the comment on if I know them well enough, sometimes the answer is yes and sometimes no.

No favoritism, just a bit of knowledge. I understand what you were saying but it does no good to continue on down that path when situations change.

Personal Life will give you a blueprint for how the values of the representative reflect to the agenda of those he/she represents.

Thank you for not allowing "Peru Town Forum" to become a local scandal sheet based on rumors, untruths, and individuals private life's. For those few who are in need of such a source I hope you never find it in our community. Instead I pray that all intentions are a evaluation of the issue being studied and discussed rather than a personal evaluation of the people discussing it.
The goal should be to have both positive and/or negative criticism and to always have only constructive criticism for the progress and benefit of the issue.
Because a person is involved in government representation of a body or a private business person or works for a unpopular cause does not make him or her deserving of a personal attack or to be made jest of.
As a last precaution it is best to remember we all have those close to us and when making a effort to hurt someone you are also hurting those close to that person. At all times remember it is best to ask yourself if the shoe was on the other foot is this the way I would want to be treated?

Have the minutes been posted for last nights meeting in Morris?

Although I agree with your choice, what about all the slander about Jim Grabowski and his wife, since neither of them are elected officials

Anon 1:22 As this was a informational meeting with only one alderman in attendance do you really feel that the taking and posting of minutes would be necessary? Why don't you attend the committee meeting and ask for a verbal report? I think Ald. Mayszak would be happy to respond as her and Ald. Perez were the two aldermen conducting their own open meetings. When someone trys to do above and beyond the normal lets not question their integrity.

I'm sorry Jim G. put himself into that position with full knowledge of opposition to his pickleball court and that it was very offensive to people sitting in their backyard 20 feet away. He should have talked to those people before he made one move toward having the city put the pickleball court where they did. No slander involved there, never said anything about his personal life or anything that was not true.

The bottom line is the city shouldn't have taken out a tennis court to replace with another sport that noone has tools for. This shouldn't have been allowed.

IMO - Grab didn't have any respect for the people that he stepped on. He knew good and well what he did was not right. Washington Park had more space and it should have been placed there. He deserved every bit of the "wet noodle" lashing he got and will continue to get. Once again, how much did the City pay for his personal use pickelball equipment?

100% agreed and true

The question is did the informational meeting have more than one attendee?
