Will the CSO pay the electical cost of running a forty seven year old sign that a modern sign of LED would be 20% of the cost to operate? Are there any laws in reference to re- erecting a obsolete product by government facilities that is this energy inefficient? The city could not waste enough chemically treated water at the pool which they did not know where it was disappearing to to satisfy themselves now they have the idea of re-erecting a wasteful electrical sign. PLEASE DO NOT EXCUSE THIS WASTE WITH THE EXCUSE THAT PERU PRODUCES ELECTRICITY SINCE IT HAS BEEN BUYING IT ALSO TO PROVIDE ITS NEEDS. The idea of a museum donated to the history of Peru and our surrounding area would be a much better utilization of city money- IF THEIR IS SUCH A THING.

I believe its true about an employee using and still working . sounds like the under age person that was to do comunity work for fire set matwestclox and didn't do anything acording to reports !Can't wait too see if true and who's relation it is ! WAY TO GO CITY OF PERU !
I believe they are refering to a summer worker who's name was in the paper a couple weeks ago for illegal possesion of marijuana. I thought they fire him though?

I know if anyone at my place of employment got a ticket or busted with possesion they would be GONE no questions asked.
That's how most businesses are ran. If you're arrested outside of work for drugs its just like being caught at work. You are gone. However this is Peru " crooked leader of the valley " . And since every post leads back to one specific department, soon you will find out why he wasn't fired because of his relative. Zero tolerance means zero tolerance. You need a new HR department, one that knows how to do its job.
Seriously it's no different than the City emplayer who failed a drug test for pot a few months ago and it was blown off as a bad test because of a prescription he was taking!
Peru doesn't care drugs, booze and gambling are the staples of are community.
It's all in the last name. And who you know. Oh, so so proud. Like city adult employees advocating and participating in allowing underage drinking!!! A department head allowing this. FAKE I.D's are out there. Where are the role models?? Don't take ones word as the truth, people lie !!
6:21 Really, that's what you are going to complain about? The few dollars it's going to cost to turn on dome lights in a park for 8 or 10 hours a day. Now I have seen everything. At least the CSO is trying to keep some part if Peru's history alive and you are worried about the few hundreds of dollars it's going to cost to light them? I'm sure a museum would be a much more economical choice for the city to spend money on. Let's see, you need to buy land, erect a building, pay for insurance, pay for electricity, heat and cool the building, hire someone to put the displays together and hire some one to keep it open. Oh ya a much better choice than putting up some lights that have been part of Peru's history got almost 50 years.
