Treasurer Hylla and Ald Ferrari Expenses

What I was wondering why do they have to stay at the Hilton the Essex is right across the street and they used to have free indoor parking and they are about half the cost, but it's been a few years since I've been there. I think if they were paying for it themselves they probably would stay at the Essex as well.
What is the official process by ordinance or job description that states who is supposed to sign expense accounts and how many are to sign as a check and balance system in the City of Peru? Each expense account from the IML is signed by the City Clerk or the Mayor individually but nowhere is the Treaurer involved. WHY? Shouldn't the Treasurer be the city official designated to be the prime person to account for the money in the city?
Im interested in seeing alderman Lukosus expenses. is it true he used valet parking and upgraded his room? I'm also curious if its true he checked in late after the first day of conferences. What would be the sense of billing the city a high hotel charge for not attending meetings. Maybe he should've stayed down the street at motel 6 for 56.00 per night then went the next day, better yet, he shouldve stayed home. Any facts to this?
What is the number of families that could be feed at the food pantry, which is a life supporting need, in corparison to the cost of a night at the Conrad Hilton upgraded room which these poor are paying for? Would others send in similar comparitive situations, and would any Peru politician who feels he was justified in the expenses he submitted to the city please explain why? I would like to know what politicians believe that their expenditures were in the best interests of their entire representation of their city and its citizens. Lois, if you have any further comments to add please feel free to do so. I will not be embarassed but others should be. Citizens be as stingy with your vote as the present group has been with their representation of US!
Just read in the NT about the increase in low income children in Peru, jumping from 23% to 41%. Don't have figures for the H.S., but understand the free breakfast is given to lots of kids.
I also hope that whoever becomes our next mayor really looks into a better (much better) check and balance system. I just don't think our present one is that accurate and that we're relying on the honesty of certain individuals. I am not questioning the integrity of any individual but let's not forget what happened in Dixon. I just think committees, along with superintendents, should go over all receipts and invoices before the council approves them. And I think there should be more questions asked about these disbursement sheets before the bills are paid.
Looks to me like being on the council or working for the city of peru pays real good ! I stay at red roof inn or holiday ins for 79.00 when i travel . eat at fast food places and dinners and for sure it doesn't cost 700.00 and some dollars . Know wonder the taxes and the city is broke . Someone needs to get things under control again .
Mr. Ferrari you should be ashamed of upgrading to the "executive floor" at the hotel at an additional cost of $50 per night over the already costly $219. Your math skills are very bad as well since your mileage expense was written down wrong and you appear to have pocketed an additional $80 not owed to you. Are you going to keep it sir? If it is not returned and documented as such I believe you are committing a crime of theft. At the very least you need to apologize and return what is not rightfully yours.
So much is being brought forward in such a short time that it has become confusing. City politics and township politics both appear to not be filling their mission. Just thinking if the township super such as Mike have a good reason why with all the food difficulties that are facing the needy how the twp. can keep its General Assistance costs below the cleaning bill of its office. I would be interested in being told by somone how the Peru Twp. compares with the LaSalle Twp. in comparison on general assistance.
I see Harl, Hylla and Bleck all went to lunch on SUNDAY on us taxpayers. The conference was over SATURDAY. $123.42 for 3 lunches. That's a mighty expensive lunch - about $41 each. Did they have a few drinks on us too, or did we pay for their wives to eat too! Unbelievable! And all 3 of them say they've cut all expenses to the max! Get rid of them all! Don't forget that Chamlins and TEST had parties for these clowns, so that is why you don't see more food expenses.
Who is the pretend to be BIG SHOT with the part circle and line through it as a signature? Golley Gee I wish I could meet someone that famous! What arrogance!!!!! Too bad you can't write your own name, go back to kindergarden.
So many discrepancies in the number of nights, the expensive lunches, different miles from peru to chicago. Those officials should be given no more than the daily per diem set by out federal govt. If the feds think $100 a day is reasonable, then the thiefs at the city of peru should too. Hope you had a great party as the rest of us citizens were at work paying for your big drunken scotched up asses!!
