You Asked and These are the Expenses

It takes some time to do all of the expense sheets, so I will do 2 per day until I get them done. Starting with the most questioned which are the Ald. Lukosus and Mayor Harl expenses.

Unacceptable for a 2 day seminar. Especially for an hour and a half drive. Lazy, Lazy, Lazy. But why work hard when someone else is paying? This angers me.

Thank you Lois, the time you put into the blog is appreciated by many in Peru.

Thank you, Lois. I'm hoping people wise up and make Lukosus's and Harl's stay on city council temporary and vote in Loger and Hart.

October 20 was a Saturday. Why did they stay an extra night when the seminar was over in the afternoon on Saturday as stated previously by Alderman Perez? They stayed an extra night at the Hilton in Chicago on us taxpayers. Blatant misuse of taxpayer funds and I agree 9:58, this angers me. They deserve to lose this election!

We taxpayers paid $120 to have valet parking for Lukosus?!?!?!?! WHAT THE **** IS GOING ON INSIDE THESE OFFICIALS HEADS?!!?!?!?

After looking at this I wonder if they had an upgrade of a room instead of just a regular room. Seems very high per night. Convention attendees discount???? When I have attended conventions when booking a room I've always been asked If I'm in town to attend the convention.

When J. Lukosus travels as golf coach for IVCC does he turn in a expense sheet showing a three (3) night stay for a two (2) day tournment at the expense of $297.97/night for the room alone which totals $893.94 for three nights.
Lukosus' bill shows only one person staying in the room.
I cannot find a receipt for gas but I do see a charge of $113.22 for milage which is a charge of $.555 per mile for the 204 miles he has claimed to travel.
At the cost of $3.69/gallon for 204miles and a automobile that gets 20miles/gallon he would have used 10.2 gallons for a total cost of $37.64. I realize that his charge is based on cost of driving a car per mile - but where was this cost derived from. $113.22-$37.64=$75.68 difference. Alderman,at this rate please don't say you and the Mayor drove to Washington D.C. for your recent convention no matter what it was for. No report on that convention either.

.555 is what the IRS uese for milage

His honor charged the city for (2) two round trip train tickets. Doesn't he realize that he is the city official and if accompanied on a businness trip he is to pay that persons expense out of his own pocket?
Also why didn't Alderman Lukosis travel by train rather than personal vehicle? Round trip by train was $24.00. Alderman Lukosus submitted milage expenses of $113.22 and Garage Parking Valet expenses of $117.00 for a total of $230.22. It cost the taxpayers $206.22 so that it city representative could have his car parked in Chicago for three nights rather than take a train.
For both of these city officials attending the IML Convention there was a $240.00 registration each as there is for all the other city officials that attended. This $240.00 charge will not appear in there expense account as it is paid for by the city. So now instead of a grand total of $1126.86 exspenses there is now a expense of $1366.86 for the two day convention. Do city officials pay for their food themselves at the convention as Nowhere is a meal expense listed?

I called Chicago Hilton 1 312 922 4400. Self- Parking is $45.00 per day. Valet parking per day is $57.00. I asked about room rates for the IML convention. Was told that they don't have rates that were given back when convention was.

Anon 11:54 mentions a convention in Washington D.C that Harl and Lukosus attended. Have they turned in a expense report for this it yet and what was it for? How many attended and how many went on taxpayers buck? Its past time to make these two pay their own way - VOTE APRIL 9!

Any politician who spends your money differently than he spends his own should not be reelected. If you vote for him and he is reelected you yourself are to blame.

My question is "where are the receipts for meals" or were they given a stipend for that too? If so, how much was it?

General Information

The IML has reserved a block of rooms at the Hilton Chicago Hotel. Rates are $216 main level and $256 executive level; single or double. (Lake view add $20 per night.) Room tax is 15.4%. Check in is 3 p.m.; check out is 11 a.m.

So Harl and Lukosus upgraded to the $256 executive level instead for opting for a cheaper $216 rate. $40 extra each night, plus the third night (Saturday) was completely unnecessary because the seminars were over Saturday afternoon. So much for pinching pennies for Peru. More like stick it to 'em and screw 'em. Mike Hart for MAYOR!!

If the city officials upgraded their rooms, it should have been their responsibility to pay the difference, not the taxpayer.

Meals??????MEALS????? Meals???!! Where are receipts???? Were meals and drinks on another credit card charged to city??? Does city have a slush fund? If so, did attendees give receipts for meals to slush fund money and they were reimbursed from slush fund??Meaning cash!! Was there a tab at the bar? Then those expenses put on a city credit card or debited???

When the fire chief is on vacation(as someone said he his now, dont know if true) where is the command vehicle(expedition) kept? At the fire department? Who drives it when he's on vacation? This command vehicle is a 8 passenger vehicle. 8 people who went to the convention could have ridden in this vehicle. Nobody would have gotten money for gas in their personal vehicles. Only one vehicle for valet parking. Look at what the cost savings would have been. Wasteful spending!

Renting a party bus would have been cheaper! Driver included, just fill the coolers with beverages. This so called high class administration is a joke. Taxpayers should demand for a reimbursement from those who took advantage of taxpayers money. Two days is two days, not three. Vote Mike Hart as perus new mayor!
