The have free grant writing classes offered. But wait you would have to have someone from the fire dept. step up and go to these classes. And I think Rodneys plate is full enough. So someone else would have to do it on their own time. Just remember in peru its not what you know its who you know!

Why does Peru not apply for these ? Are we too good to ask for free money ? Or is it the same old story , poor management ?
Sometimes these grants are matching.
Peru has applied and recieved these grants in the past, as have LaSalle, Oglesby, and Utica.
so we do it once and then we stop ?
Did you see anywhere in that post that it was a once and done deal? They said grants, so I'm assuming that means more than one, meaning continually.
They are only continuing if we reapply every time there is a new one. I'm asking why we never reapply after we lose ?
