Again LaSalle Peru is among the higher places in the Illinois Valley for gas. Last week when it was 3.75 in Ottawa and 3.83 in Granville, it was 3.99 in Peru. Looks like Ottawa is still lower than we are. This is nothing new as the same thing happened when the gas prices jumped a few years ago.

Lois when are we gonna start to look at wasteful spending in the Peru township road district...I have begun foia requests and you would be shocked at wasteful spending coming from there...it's only just begun
Its something that comes up frequently but hard to find a solution. Hope you will share your findings with us.
Why does the Peru Township even exist anymore?? Seems to be another level that could easily eliminated without any loss.
Get rid of the township. Township employees could work for the city. The township building could be used for the city maintenance garage as the city garage is not the best. Money used to pay township superviser and board members etc. can go to city funds. Township equipment could be used by the city. It is all a waste of taxpayer money!!!
