Cottage Grove moves to make a splash with aquatic upgrade at park | South Washington County Bulletin | Cottage Grove, Minnesota
The city had to close their aging pool and this is what they did and what they found out. Lots of good information here.

$650,000 is the cost of building the splash pad. Pretty good price for a sprinkler!

Average splash pad is from 100,000 to maybe 250,000. As stated before Ottawa built one 2 years ago for 89,000.
Hey look at Cottage Grove, MN EMS...it's run by the Police Department.
The 2013 Budget has the PPD at 24% of the entire city expenditures and I do not think that this includes pensions. I'll keep paying $4.80/year for PVAS. Thank You
Found out today that PVAS is refusing to give out the number of ALS and BLS calls they maker per year. Companies that would like to give us a cost need figures on which to base their service.
ALS is advance life support
BLS is basic life support
I think the city should be able to demand this from them or cut off their monthly stipend from the
taxpayers of this city.
Are we being held hostage once again?
To 4:42 PM, what would you think if someone said, you can make a profit of 48,000 per year instead of paying that out but we need information.
Anytime you go out for bids, you need specifications and that is what this would be.
Lois, let's say PVAS puts out how many ALS and BLS calls they run per month...what do you plan to do with this info? I agree they should be more specific with their call volume when they report to the city, but if you are thinking you will estimate the money they are bringing in off of these numbers you will need more info.
I have noticed also that that "SB" is submitting the monthly reports on behalf of Roberson...this company is not that busy that he can't do a manager's job and compile stats.....guess he's too busy working on his private security business...
Regarding EMS in the IL Valley..
PSI in LaSalle is bringing in another paramedic from the suburbs...
Wonder why Chief Baccidore and the city of LaSalle is allowing this..I thought PSI was supposed to hire locally....

How can we make any judgment when we don't know how many qualified applicants there were putting in their resumes for the position. Most businesses will say we hire locally if the applicants can do the job we want.
Need more details on this one.
No job postings have been placed on the LaSalle City website or in the NT or Times Record.
PSI did not list an opening for LaSalle on it's website.
With that said, how can the many qualified applicants in the IL Valley apply?
