Enough Already

Overheard last night at a city council meeting. "This has to stop, we meed to cut down on the number of meetings a month"

Meaning getting together for 30 minutes is a waste of time and money. Last night the city spent $630 for the 7 aldermen to get together to discuss nothing of importance. Nothing that could not have waited for another week. The Mayor would like to cut back to 2 a month, the aldermen have up to this point said NO.

This is a reminder that city elections for 4 aldermen will be April 5. Mark it on your calendars. Absentee ballots are available, if you cannot be in town on April 5, call the County Clerk for your absentee ballot. If you are not a registered voter, email me.

Good point Lois. Absentee ballots are available for registered voters until March 31st. Voters should also be aware that early voting at the LaSalle County Clerks office in Ottawa begins on March 14th and ends on March 31st. New voters can register up to March 8th to qualify to vote on April 5th. There is also Grace Period voting which can be done between March 9th and March 31st. Grace Period voters must register and vote between March 9 and March 29 at the LaSalle County clerks office in Ottawa.
No excuse not find a way to vote. If you don't vote don't bitch.

If you need help getting registered to vote or getting out to vote contact Lois or myself and we will be glad to help.
