What's happening up by Petsmart? A legal in the paper last week was for the zoning board to approve some subdividing around there.

The Mayor and Peru Community Development Director must recieve their retail development training from Mr. William Meyers, Starved Rock story teller who spins yarns both tall and short.
Going North on 251 start at Jewel, go to Blockbuster, K Mart and Willowabees and than onto a group of run down motels, The Mayor says the market is strong and his term proves this with evidence of the former Amcore Bank being unoccupied for his entire term in the downtown although Peru has had a bakery start up which employs at least three or four part time.

Has a effort been made to contact a school such a IVCC Government class to conduct political debates in Peru's upcoming Mayor and aldermaen election. Would the Library Board be intereted? Would Miller Media accept the chalange as they are our only local newspaper? Peru has a city building which would make for a great debate site.

It takes 2 to debate and I am not sure that we could get 2 for any of the ward elections, let alone mayor. If anyone has connections to get this of the ground, I would certainly promote it.

after I read this article I wondered if this was a promo by Vickery with regard to the mayoral election. As with all the empty buildings, I will believe it when I see it.

Perhaps the site for another car dealership, like the Ottawa KMart location.

Peppered with inquiries.

See Harls definition of peppered below:

Vickrey calls at 10 am, asks what Harl feels like for Lunch. Suggests Mia Marguerita , but is shot down when they remember how they got lost for two hours circling adventure drive last time.
They decide on Culvers because Harl is on his pre election Burger and Cheese diet and Vickrey likes the fries.

While driving to Culvers, Vickrey notices empty Kmart area and asks Harl what the new Kmart hours are, because he likes to buy his Pork Rinds there and they are always closed.

Harl informs him that he thinks Kmart is closed up permanently. After confirming this on a prank call to Perez, Vickrey says someone should use all that space. Harl suggests pickleball and they share a good laugh.

Later that afternoon, Vickrey calls Harl again and asks where that big empty building was that they talked about at lunch, because there are so many he gets confused. Harl can't remember, but offers to buy lunch at Dairy Queen the next day. Vickrey says ok.

Five minutes later Vickrey calls and reminds Harl they have trouble not hitting the pylons. They table the lunch plans, but Ankiewicz walks by Harls office and tries to vote against whatever they are tabling.

News Trib calls Harl, that's call number four in one day. He hangs up and calls Computer store to buy new phone system to handle the peppering. Tells salesperson he can only spend 4999 dollars. No more. No Less.

A of DS...We have missed you and the humorous spin you are able to put on the antics that occur at city hall. Don't be a stranger, we need a good laugh daily.

So glad to see the A of DS is back! You are hysterical! Obviously you are somebody who knows all the players and what goes on at city hall. Keep on posting, lots of humor will be needed as we move closer to election time.

A of DS: Since you've mentioned pickleball does anyone know what happened to the city owned 5th net assembly purchased by the ambassador? If it could be found maybe SPW could have his boys set it up in the KMart parking lot. Please contact Rodney first because it is his ward.

Someone should do recon to see how popular pickleball is at the Y.

1. If it is popular and not a fad perhaps the neighbors have legit concerns regarding noise
2. If it is not as popular as the ambassador expressed maybe the neighbors' concerns were inflated

Lois: Love your definition and thought of the month listed at the top of the blog. How very true it is. And how appropriate at this time.

11:01 Try and make sense.

What does popularity at the Y have to do with noise pollution statutes and public nuisance law?

If you are trying to say that the neighbors should put up with an illegally sanctioned nuisance because of some arbitrary amount of allowable disturbance you have in your head, please think about what you are saying. You don't live there, so you cannot determine what an acceptable level of noise and activity is. Leave to the judge.

The oil of oregano, an effective herb is also a natural

very effective if taken internally every day. Implementing these changes in your life, will be effective remedies against recurrent yeast infections, when undertaken with a holistic yeast infection treatment program that will kill the yeast infection
