Executive Decision or What?
I am looking for more information on the background of this purchase as I don't find it on the minutes of any meeting.
Vote out Harl, he destroying the pool and wont fix it and cant get the skating rink working in time. What will be his campaign slogan...Vote for Harl the NO FUN mayor!
The Cookie Jar kept getting bigger until it has finally reached its ordinance max of $5,000. Its all in how you do the math - a item or two at the time or the entire cost all at once. As a example how much does it cost to build a tennis court and than turn it into a pickle ball court. Remember you no longer have a tennis court, just the cost of one. Next someone is selected to buy less than $5,000 of pickleball equipment. The city officials made a mistake this time in the method they got billed for the kit, Bambini and shipping and handling. They had everything put on one bill. I could go on, but why? Peru Politics has just gotten too stupid and you can't fix stupid! I see where Peru, New York is being billed at a sales tax of 6% for the newest work in progress.
No Lois. I believe committee can approve anything up to $5000. Anything over that needs full council approval. Anything over $20,000 needs to go out for bid.
Anything under $5,000 can be approved by the department head. Anything over $5,000 but under $20,000 has to be approved by committee. Anything over $20,000 has to be bid and approved by the full council.
The only person who could have given the order to buy this is the dept. head who is Gary Bleck or the mayor Scott Harl. Bartley would be following orders.
It's been two weeks since the order's been placed. Are we skating this weekend? suppose to be below freezing. Or we going to have to go to Oglesby again? Hurry Up Peru Spring will be here in 2 weeks.
Anon 3:26 Spring will be here in two weeks, sounds great. Any recommendtions for where to go swimming this summer? Is it true that the splash pad is supposed to be built in the same area as the skating rink for this summer?

but remember... "we have examined the budget and there are no cuts that we can make." Scott Harl.

If this didn't go to council for approval do we know who did put the stamp of approval on it?

My mistake, @$5000, it only needs committee approval and over $20,000 for council approval. I am checking to see if it went to committee.

Maybe Hurl will drag his union chain over the ice rink to make sure its safe for us to use.
Haha Hurl, I giggle every time I read it!
Who is CP that approved it?
That does not look like a CP. Maybe a DB.
I would venture to guess the city clerk has to sign off on these expenditures.
That is the city clerk's john henry. I just wonder who authorized and ordered the equipment and why so fast.
That does not look like a DB
It may not look like a DB but it definitely is the city clerks' john henry.
Yes, if you look at meeting minutes that are signed by the city clerk, that is the "signature".
