That is a great testimony. It's a shame the city of Peru is using such a positive thing like this and using it against an official they don't like. Shame on the City of Peru!! Shame on those who work against such an influential leader like Rodney Perez. I will be watching the outcome of this very closely. Officials who go or vote against, I will be sure the voters of your city don't forget that. Mayor Harl included.
Interesting news. The president of the organization that the city wants to push Rod's program to, is the son of Bob Ankeiwitcz who is the alderman who opposes Rod. Doesn't take a brain surgeon to see where that is going. Good Luck Rod!
When all this was taking place on Monday night at the council meeting, quite unexpectedly, I thought it was all very strange. It seems that there is still some things between Liberty and the Peru FD, that are not quite right yet, strained might be the right word. Not one big happy family.
Maybe Rodney should ask LaSalle for some help, since Peru is unwilling. I am sure they know the importance of this program, and their finance committee could find the time and a line item for the donations.
