Review Pool demolition Bids? Didnt the city already deal with all of this before? Why after 3 years are we finally seeking bids for demolishing the pool?

Location of Ice Skating Rink? Don't we already have a location at Veterans Park? It may not be the best location but why hasn't the city put up the rink yet this year? winter is half over. Is the city looking for a more permanent location? Why do our officials decide to take on projects like this at such crazy timing. Hopefully some good planning is in place and will be done right for next winter. What is the latest on a city pool? This administration can't seem to get it right!

We tried to set up the ice rink twice this winter and failed both times. The first time it apparently wasn't properly anchored or monitored and the wind got under the tarp and raised. The 2nd time the tarp was removed and we attempted to fill the parking lot with water but, as fast as it was being filled it leaked out.

It seems that we should have a good understanding about how something works when we began the process of installing a liner and also we should know that possible problems might be ?? and be prepared for those ahead of time. It appears we as a city don't understand that problems might happen and we should be prepared for the unintended consequences of those issues. I wonder if the liner came with a set of instructions and a source to contact in case of problems. Of course the first liner was donated to the city, was that part of the problem?

Does anyone know what the new set-up is going to be?

What good is an ice skating rink when the weather is too warm to keep ice? Did you look today at any puddles and see any ice?

sounds to me like we have real stupid people as leaders of peru if they can't even manage to get a liner put down right ! also if the workers need baby sitters to make sure things are done right why are we paying them so much ? hope the new council and mayor get things done right .

If the city is going to do something they should do it right for once. If an ice skating rink is what the city wants to do for the people and our children they should do it right the first time instead of wasting money and time. A real rink needs to be permanent with a refrigerant to keep the ice froze. An additional 5,000.00 to do it right would be worth it. Think people Think!!!!!
