And this means working to maintain our freedoms on a local level. Keep yourself involved, know what is going on and work for a better government right here in Peru.

I'm embarrassed to be a citizen of Peru today, the old boys club is back in the political game today.

We always knew Ferrari and Waldorf were controlled by Baker but today we learn that Radkte Sapienza potohoff lukosus and mueller are also controlled by Baker. I have knowledge that this ad was paid by Don Baker in full!

Also believe that the current alderman must issue a retraction that says "these are not the view of the City of Peru but are personal views". Shove you social media policy Waldorf !

If you believe that a government gets "better" because of the people who get elected, don't you think there is something wrong with that ?

Thank You to everybody who participates on this forum. I will vote yes. I don't trust those who can't think and have a opinion on their own and agree with persons just so they can stay in the club.

Just spoke with my elderly neighbor lady. She tells me that a Mike Radtke called her and instructed her that she should vote no to this referendum. We live in the 1st ward and she had no idea who Radtke is. She said he was very forward in telling her how to vote. Just when you think these guys can't stoop any lower, we learn they are calling the elderly in Peru with intimidating phone calls. She told him to hit the road and hung up on him. When I explained the situation to her she said she never votes in Primary elections but she will vote yes based on this Cold Call from a sitting alderman. I will be driving her to the polls next week and we will be supporting the referendum.
These aldermen should be ashamed for trying to scare senior citizens with phony phone calls. It's very sad that Peru has been dominated so long by politicians that prey on the votes of the elderly who are so easily mislead. I'll bet this is what they are all doing. Anybody else hear from elderly friends or neighbors about these phone solicitations from aldermen?

10:12 We have one week to educate voters.

Somehow it needs to be verified that aldermen (past and present) are contacting senior citizens with regards to this referendum and "telling" them to vote "NO". We need to find out if indeed senior are being intimidated by these individuals.

Does the Chief know about these phone calls? Very alarming, especially with all the problems of elderly telling of their social security numbers and banking facilities.

If anyone gets a call from a public official and feels pressured you can call the state board of elections at (217) 782-4141

If past and present aldermen are calling private homes are they checking before they call to assure that the person is not on a do not call list? Don't these people have more to do with themselves than be a public nuisance?
Politicians overall are the most untrustworthy, disliked group in the country that most of the population desires to avoid personally. Who ever gave these bozos the idea that the normal person wants to talk to them or accept their unsolicited advice. All the more reason to vote YES.
People joke about lawyers but they do respect them, politicians they don't respect or like. One of the basic reasons is that they exist with two sets of rules, one for you and one for themselves. Remember that nice, humble person running for a chance to serve you in office meet him a few years later after he has been elected and see who he is serving.

I frankly don't believe this claim that Mike Radke would call someone he doesn't know like you are suggesting. Your story sounds made up. Prove it.
