Everyone should remember that this initiative was brought forward by Waldorf. Considering this council's tendancy to waste time and money on the most "silly" and "ridiculous" issues, we should assume Waldorf had the votes to have it approved. Therefore, this is just another instance of the ineffective and counter-productive nature of the current aldermen in Peru with the exception of Rodney Perez of course.
This is just more verification of the desperate need for new leadership in Peru.
Harl, Waldorf, and every other aldermen who supports restrictions on "Free Speech" need to be defeated at the polls.
The At-Large Referendum provides the opportunity to remove many if not all of these people from public life. VOTE "YES" for At-Large

Wonder if free speech happens at the hair palace? Only reason anybody who is against free speech is because the speech may be in regards to them or something would come out about them. If that would be to happen then be a man/woman and come to the plate and do a rebuttle.

I'd like to know who established all the rules and regulations regarding this issue. It seems as though it's conception has been in the finance committee. I would think this would be an issue for the committee as a whole to discuss informally.

The longer in office you stay , the more you piss your constituens off , and the more under the table dealings you do , the more those people you pissed off tell all your little secrets . Makes sense now why Lukosus was appointed to fill a vacancy when he had no serious interest in city politics prior to his appointment. Makes sense why Lukosus and Harl are always going on "business" trips together with spouses. Makes sense why Lukosus goes with the order of Boss Harl instead of listening to us people and doing what we want . The two of them are related . Big city politics at its finest right here in rural America . Hope the two families have a nice vacation next week on us tax payers when Jim and Scotty go on a "business" trip to Washington DC.

I would like to thank Mike Hart for his open forum letter. It was clear and concise. And like my 81 year old mother stated this morning,"I finally get it and I like it". So again...THANKS MIKE!

There was the delay and all the issues with videotapping of council meetings, there is an excessive amount of closed council meetings, now this issue. Very obvious city hall does not like taxpayers knowing how they conduct business and issues for the city. What a bunch of donkey's!

I see phoney balogna city officials are stroking each others egos at a local restaurant tonight as celebrity waiters . and everyone in city hall is supposed to go and support our local celebrities. They can't come out and get together for our kids at a community fun day but if there's booze and food involved they're all for it . what a bunch of losers !

I heard an emergency special meeting for twp tomorrow, is Debo resigning?

Anonymous said...

Who are the celebrity waiters? Waitresses? Found it kinda strange that the restaurant hosting the event didn't advertise who the are.

I heard king and Bernie are going to run the township .

6:21, seriously? Have either ever dug a ditch? Ran a piece of heavy equipment other than the little yellow Tinka Trucks? Well I will say there isn't much township road to be responsible for. THE CITY OF PERU TOWNSHIP NEEDS TO BE DISSOLVED. Waste of money big time.

I'm usually very well informed of events. Celebrity waiters? Where? Was this advertised or just for the selected few to attend?

Correct 5:23, remember Christmas parade? Didn't someone say on here that Harl was at his house during parade and our fire chief wasn't at Christmas event either? If my memory serves me correct?

I heard the public safety committee said no to a fire truck in Utica's Mardi gras parade last Saturday. That is why there was no Peru truck in the parade . we just bought a $750,000 truck and it sits in the garage all the time .

10:24. Why? Why would the fire dept not allow a truck to be in Utica's parade? Did that order come from the same person(s) that didn't allow Alderman Perez to use a fire truck at the last winter fun day?

Anonymous said...

No reason for our fire truck to be in Utica for a MG parade. For our own Christmas city parade, wrong! But we can have fire truck at the concerts at the airport.? Right?

Who was at this charity event helping the March Of Dimes? Those self-centered public servants. Please give us all a break from the lastest conspiracy theory.

A fire truck was not needed at the sledding event. please. As far as Mardi Gras parade. That's a drink fest basically. We need frugality on gas for trucks. Fire trucks at station 24/7 stop at station and see them and take a picture.

Saying no for a fire truck to be at an event , is a set-up for in the future to maybe say no for one to participate in Operation. promise. Duckie duckies in a row. Don't forget the pavement of the donation for operation promise.(put in wrong account)(maybe in account for the payroll scandal). Took a while for that to get settled. In fact didn't Perez have a meeting with king regarding that donation? Shouldn't it have been a 30 second issue? Doesn't add up, something is fishy on this Ash Wednesday.

I believe one persons was from financial plus credit and another hyvee. Maybe somebody got smart and didn't have any political people as servers. Would be a smart move not to have, with all that has been taking place in the city.

I heard Waldorf was one of the waiters. Must be an election coming up! They better all get out there and start showing their faces because after the at large referendum passes, they'll all be up for election. Vote Yes!

Another daily disappointment mistake? Paper only mentioned two celebrity waiters at fundraiser. I wonder if there were more or did the hierarchy tell them not to publish who else participated. Wouldn't surprise me.

Politically there are so many major prob;ems in Peru who is waiting on tables anywhere doesn't disturb me. Its what they are and are not doing as promised for Peru that worries me. My only TIP to them is please do not run again.
