Lois,
Had a chat with a CSO member who's a good friend of mine. He said the talk of concerns amongst the past administration which also consists of all CSO members is the loss of their control if a new admin comes into play. Mostly concerned with Perez' group taking over. I found it interesting how much control they feel they have. They are looking to purchase land on WaterStreet to build a CSO park which is the reason they re-built the PERU sign they are supposedly in the works of having lights made similar to the Peru sign that has CSO to display at the park PERU CSO
As if they own the city? That makes sense to me of why the old guard is so against the at large deal.

That is truly a frightening consideration to think that the CSO feels that they have the RIGHT to make decisions you are talking about. I know the location but certainly not a park for year round use right next to the RR tracks. We have trouble properly maintaining the parks we have without adding another. I find it very sad to think that people who have served this city in years past to think that after they are defeated or retired that they can continue to make decisions affecting all of the residents.

We do expect our elected officials no matter on what level of government they have served from municipal to state to federal to go back to their own life unless they are asked for help after they have served their terms. I also find it offensive for them to insult and denigrate the next generation as they try to come into their own in city government as they should. We could be telling the best and the brightest to go home, you are not welcome.

I wish YOU would get on the park board so we don't have to read all the time how the parks are not being properly maintained.

@3:45 many of this group fish in much deeper, muddier waters than the CSO. If anything the CSO has been a front for the "Were all for Peru" gang to cover up what has been truly taking place in Peru.
When you speak of buying parks and erecting privately owned signs in my own opinion they are solidifying their position of being the governing power behind those elected and Peru must get new faces involved in Peru politics. Peru is in desperate need of a vote which will allow people in its politics which will work for Peru not only for themselves. There are personalities which will attempt to rule forever and have only been stopped by Our Lord.

Its laughable that you make the CSO to be the evil empire in Peru. Perez's group is also laughable concept. If they have more than a few family members on the group, I would be susprised.

The CSO is a simple group of people that like to work for the benefit of Peru. They have a few events, put up decorations, been very involved in Centennial celebrations, clean up highways, have a few picnics and get together for social fun. Many are business people, and live in Peru. Nothing sinister about them.

11:36 nothing sinister, but NO WOMEN ALLOWED! Archaic out dated, and in need of new blood, that's a way to describe the CSO too.
