Carl's said the asm and.psm trust him. That's a no brainer. Are either the asm or psm engineers or even close? I think not. Correct me if I'm wrong. I laugh reading this, nobody has the so called ---- to say how it really is and what's truly going on and who is doing whose job. How can our city council be so darn stupid?; why are we paying outrageous salaries to some employees? Let's get the ball rolling.

No the ASM (Doug) and the PSM (Jeff) are not engineers whether or not they are close through the process of experience I also don't know but I do know that Eric Carl's is and from work performed a exceptional one with a very positive attitude,

My own personal thoughts are leading me to believe that the Peru administration and city council have hit upon a management concept that many city's will adopt in the future. Chief Bernabei is a outstanding project organizer and communicator. Chief King is a person whom people enjoy personal contact with as a on site supervisor. City engineer Carl's happily fills the need of a professional source in engineering when needed by Doug Bernabei or Jeff King.

Peru is paying fair salaries to these three individuals because they have a high amount of education in their fields, they also have a lengthy work history and personal experience with a well rounded background and all three combine these attributes with a ultimate teamwork concept. Also when studying a management team it is found that it is best to pay 3 outstanding supervisors a extra amount than hiring 6 mediocre supervisors at a higher cost to get less done.

In conclusion instead of looking at a small segment of the screen look at this radical change in our city management workload as one large picture and in time with a fair viewpoint you will also favor it over past and outdated management charts. It is only natural and characteristic to question change rather than immediately accept it. I have often questioned Mayor Harl and members of the council but after observing how things are getting done in Peru by these three men I am convinced that they have developed and made a huge contribution to the citizens of Peru and their government.

9:48, really? Who has snowballed you? Enjoy Personal contact as on site supervisor. People would enjoy a thousand people possibly. If the on site supervision doesn't know and more importantly has no experience in a field how do they know if the job is being done correctly? Isn't this common sense? Geeze.

9:48, are you related to Bernabie, this sounds like it was written by him.

9:48 Really? you must not know our PSM very well! Does he have any training or education in the building trades? Ive heard he does not even get out of his command vehicle when inspecting new construction.
What certificates or training has he had to warrent his salary.

You must not know about the "other" stuff in regards to his character.

Reading these Task Force minutes is quite painful when you understand the truth of what is really going on here. The questions these task force members ask the employees are so "loaded" and "scripted" it's embarrassing.
I can't believe what I am reading. They are asking employees to review the performance of their superiors. WTF? What do you think they are going to say about their bosses performance? OMG! This situation is absolutely ridiculous. Now they are going to talk to the HR person? WTF could she possibly bring to the table? I wish they would just end the charade and get on with bestowing the titles and approving the salary increases. Don't insult the good people of Peru any more than you alrready have. Please stop the pain!

@8:53. I'm in full agreement with your blog, your entire blog from beginning to end. I know several people that would be able to comment on behalf of your blog with truthness. Both paragraphs of your comment.

9:30am you are so correct but.........the pain will only continue.......living in Peru is to live in a fog and praying you stay on firm ground.

3:01, then you should think about moving, oh you might find out all cities are the same. Also I don't know if Lois understands what WTF stands for, I hope she finds out and would quit posting comments with stuff like that.

Maybe she doesn't know what GTG means either. I didn't until I asked. I see nothing wrong with posting abbreviations for word sentences. GTG means "got to go."

I think we should raise the Mayor's Salary to $150K and the Clerk's Salary to $100K. That way, we might get somebody interested in running for office.

10:06:
how many "jobs" can bernabie and king hold?

Anonymous said...

GTG means "Good to Go."

It's easy to hold a job, but to know what your doing is a whole different ball game.

My grandfather 50 years ago use to say, "Jack of all trades Master of none." I laugh at city hall to know what's going on.

In Peru you only need to be a "Master Politician" to advance to the top feeding level of the Hog Trough. It matters not if you are qualified for your phony job title. It only matters if you are properly "connected" to Harl and capable of influencing at least four of the nit-wit aldermen to approve a bunch of letters behind your name on the city letterhead. ASM /PSM / (edited), and the list goes on and on.

Anon 3:15 The titles ASM/PSM were not issued and approved by those who are entitled as such so don't blame them. For $120K/yr. and $94K/yr. you can call me ASM/PSM without any argument. Just don't call me PMS.

Will any of the Peru "cheer-leaders" have any comments when the Harl influenced Task Force recommends they start paying Bernabei $175,000 per year and King $125,000 per year? Or will they continue just taking the abuse? I know the answer anyway.

1:08 PM, The typical slack-jawed Peru cheerleader on this blog would probaly not question Harl and the other elected officials if they were told the ASM and PSM salaries would equal $1,000,000 annually. That's just how screwed up this city has become as a result of each and every decision being based solely on politics and totally disconnected from the reality of what responsible government should be.
