Everyone who has served in the military should get off of work on Memorial Day, with pay. Everyone else should have to work, especially our hypocritical and phony politicians. It disturbs me that most of the members of our congress have NEVER served but they are willing to send other people's children into battle. It is like the Catholic church and birth control - "if you don't play the game, don't make the rules".
I always thought that it would be a good idea to require that each member of congress who votes to go to war has to provide one immediate family member to serve in the military on the front lines. That would help ensure that we won't go to war unless absolutely necessary.
