Street Repairs City Wide Street by Street Block by Block

It would make more sense to do more than one block at a time! All these areas are in front of a Harl supporters house or a city employees house, EVERY ONE!!!

Are you for real 10:24? If that is indeed true can you list some of the obvious ones?

Haha good point. All the residential streets are in front of buddies houses.

I can guarantee you that if any roads in the second ward are in front of a Harl supporter or city employee's house, it is purely coincidence. Alderman Perez and I hand picked those roads. Nobody else had input to the roads we chose.

Been on my steet for 19 years and all they ever did was grind down bumps and then road fell apart and turned into speed strip , from 12th street to 7 th street . sure sucks to live in peru where property values are so low no house on market sell !

10:58 your imagination is incredible. Homes in Peru sell for more. Maybe put yours up for sale and see what it goes for?

They only sell for more if the person buying is from out of town, and the home owner and realtor isn't honest in telling them about the basement flooding along with the poor sewer system.

Chicago has the 'deep tunnel' and basements floor there also. So don't always blame the city when a deluge hits the area. And, some problems are homeowner caused. So, all you whiners and badmouthers either enjoy the area or move to the desert.

Thats such a bunch of hooey, about the roads being done, in front of Harls friends. The road being done in my neighborhood is the first time in 42 years that I have lived here that it is being touched. Also its a bus and truck route. DO YOU THINK IT NEEDED IT?????

I'm sure all the roads that are being repaved needed it to be done. Were they necessarily the worst in that particular ward? Maybe not! I still firmly believe we are taking the most expensive way to get our roads in good shape (i.e. block by block by block). We should be doing full roads at a time. It's been proven that that is the wisest and cheapest way to do it.

My wife and I bought our first house in Peru 18 years ago. The town was booming and the roads had been recently paved. Since then, the town has gone on a downward spiral. In three years our children will graduate high school. Unless something changes, we will be moving. What has happened to Peru is a waste and a shame. To those who think it is ONLY the fault of the current mayor you are in denial. Houses that used to have a family are now multi-apartments with drug deals, drug use and prostitution. Low life people who abuse the system and have no interest in keeping this town nice. We all know what is wrong. Will someone step up and wade through all the lies and B.S. and lead us? The opportunity is here right now Mayor Harl. Do you care? Then DO SOMETHING. BE A LEADER.

It takes communication skills and the desire to work with people for solutions. Back room dealings and retribution against those who disagree with him are not the attributes of a leader. During the last 2 years, the choices made knowlingly and willingly by the mayor prove he has none of the above.

The recent sewer work done, residence to cover sewer drain with cardboard, weighted down. What was outcome to owner? good, bad, or what was answer?
