“It doesn’t take a majority to win, just a tireless minority that will keep starting brush fires in the mind and hearts of their fellow men.” Samuel Adams
This has always been my favorite way to communicate with our city leaders. It's very informal and very informational. This is where the bulk of the decision making comes from.
Justin, I think you mean it's where bulk of the decision making should come from? I'd have to imagine decisions are made way before committee. Committee is just the political correct thing to do , to avoid being turned into the state. Several comments that jumped out at me that lead me to believe there were back room deals done. That meeting came across as if Alderman Rod put a squashing to a deal that was already set. Sure came across to me that the Alderwoman was rehearsed and was told it needed a push.
10:21 Opinions get made before the committee, but they can get discarded in these meetings thanks to the informal atmosphere. I've been to several of the committee meetings where an alderman has changed their mind thanks to constituent(s) voicing their opinions.

checking to see if this takes a comment.
The new Alderwoman seems a bit snippy with Rodney. Has she been listening to other people's opinions before she forms her own?
