Traffic is extremely heavy today. Seeing a lot more state police cars and unmarked vehicles with state licenses than ever before in LaSalle Peru. What is going on?

He would have to be in jail for four months before the News Tribune would even mention it LOL. And it would read, "Peru Mayor Scott Harl asked to participate in a prison improvement program for three years. Treasurer Hylla was quick to point out the savings to the city now that the Mayor's salary could be diverted to more concerts, bars, and tattoo parlors."

Go 150! Geeterdone!

Back to the topic. Why must we rely on helicopter transfers to the “real hospitals” in Peoria and Rockford? Why doesn’t at least one of our hospitals have a trauma center? Why don’t our hospitals offer kidney dialysis treatment? Instead we send these people to Peoria for every health issue that prevents them from going to the outpatient dialysis centers. I think our population is large enough to support a “real hospital”. Instead the caring professionals give us artificial hips and knees… anything else, they pack and ship to Peoria.

We should have had a trauma/teaching hospital at the Utica exit when the water park went under, but our communities cannot cooperate with each other. We wonder why health care is too expensive but we have five hospitals within twenty miles of Utica. There should be one large modern one, instead we put up cute little hospitals that cannot attract real doctors, except from foreign countries.

It is difficult to get new American doctors even in places like Peoria. Big mistakes were made in health care in the illinois valley because of cities that think they are the best and most important and the others are not.
