Three of the four city attorney subjects are not understandable to the average layman but that is normal as city council members will not understand them either and they will vote upon it without asking.
Peru is still suffering from having the same Mayor for forty four years, the same city clerk for sixteen years and the same city attorney for thirty six years plus a Mayor of four years who has not met the challenge of "CHANGE". Strenghting this issue are more than one or two councilmen that prefer age old home cooken and personal self support provided through the council chair.

Thank you 10:51 for stating exactly what I was thinking and I too agree with you that council members will vote on them without understanding them and they will not ask questions,

A resolution pleading for signage similar to the road improvement signs with a twenty four hour presence of the song HALLELUJAH would be appropriate (preferably playing at peak volume on a ghetto blaster) at the pool and electric plant demolitions.

Whats the deal with wh maze and the city? I am surpised they work together on anything- I thought the lovelands and mazes were feuding with the city over electric rates.

HEY HURL, LET'S NOT UPSET THE CITIZENS THAT ACTUALLY EMPLOY RESIDENTS!

Speaking of electric rates a couple of years ago the city council appropriated over $22,000 to have a independent study done on the Peru Elecric Program. After the appropriation there was never again anything mentioned about the results of the study and what actions should be taken.
It would be of interest to know what thesee results were.
I do know that the city did not collect electric bills for the month of December years ago as a Christmas gift to its citizens. Of course at that time every city administrator, superintendent, and supervisor did not drive a new truck and use it for personal use. Also people were held accountable for their jobs and mistakes were frowned upon not ignored i.e. the ordering of a valve exerciser for $13,000 and upon receiving it waking up to the fact that at $13,000 cost it was without a motor. Therefore it was pacaged back up and the complete valve exerciser was reordered at a cost of $48,000. If you want more examples of inefficiency ask your alderman where is the Peru Ice Skating Rink and why, or where is the playground equipment for Amercan Nikeloid Park ( I am not referring to the equipment given to Dalzell But the new equipment purchased after the giveaway). It is no wonder Peru had to rent a storage facility to stockpile all of its representatives mistakes.
