Corruption in Illinois, Very Interesting
This is a just posted video to you tube but it is very interesting but long so allow at least an hour or more to listen. As I listen I can't help but believe this has filtered down to the local level.

Corruption, just go to a Peru township meeting and watch them vote themselves 4 % raises and a $250 a month medical benefit stipend...it's time to vote them out and seems to me they love the fact city is in battle for pickle ball courts while they continue to pillage taxpayers with excessive salary increases.
The city fathers of Peru have always liked to delude themselves in thinking that no one reads this blog other than a few disgruntled people. I think along with myself many readers suspect that many people outside our small community have become interested in what is going on within this town and believe it is very undemocratic and that some people are getting the shaft. Time will show that right will prevail even here in Peru and that the dishonest and downright ignorant practices of some in the government will be brought to light. Ignorant meaning: lacking in knowledge or training; unlearned: an ignorant man. 2. lacking knowledge or information as to a particular subject or fact: ignorant of quantum physics. 3. uninformed; unaware. 4. due to or showing lack of knowledge or training: an ignorant statement.
6:15 Corruption is not a 4% raise over the course of 4 years and the medical benefit is nothing compared to if they paid for medical insurance like the city. The city and the schools is what we should get upset about.
10:09 Corruption is corruption. That raise was unwarranted, and they are just trying to hide behind greater evils, like scavengers who break into stores after riots, taking what they can, saying we should be catching the rioters. They live in the shadows, saying we do not rob as much as others so leave us be. That township organization stinks.
Jesse Jackson jr. Put his resignation in to To congress. Imagine that. Just voted in a couple weeks ago for 2nd term and has been MIA for votes over several months in congress. Although he accepts full responsibility for mistakes he's made while in congress. Misappropriation of campaign funds, such as spending money on jewelry for someone other than his wife. POSSIBLE BRIBES FOR A SEAT IN CONGRESS. Wow! Another politician, another scandal. This will be interesting how this one plays out. These politicians aren't real smart and to think they're running our country. And Jesse Jacksons wife may be investigated too. Crazy. Maybe will be roommates with George In Illinois prison or Rob in Colorado prison. I'm starting to think one of the requirements to be in politics is to be croocked.

I believe the entire township should be disbanded, with its functions privatized.
