This blog is maintained for the sole purpose of allowing the people of Peru and those interested in the cities of the Illinois Valley to express their views.

Why bother with a new pool. L-P will be building a huge new complex. After that tax increase nobody will be able to afford a new Peru pool. Whatever happened to the idea of repair? A new pool in Peru does not look to be a priority according to the news articles. Peru has been focused on weddings, fireworks, concerts, eliminating political representation, yard signs. I am losing my confidence in this Mayor.
Lets put 4000.00 into a pickle puller game.30,000 into fixing tennis court, and 3000.00 into engineering to see if veterans park should build a new diamond then 100,000 into a new baseball diamond then 25,000 into a 15 minute firworks display and while they are at it my as well by a new vehicle for the recreation department like they did with the fire department.Did the fire department even get their truck yet? from the sounds of it they can't even use it for what they bought it for so would the city not just give that to another department that could use it? Take those numbers and add them up and i do believe you would have a nice start to a pool.
I hate to say it this Mayor seems to just not care what he does to hurt the city. I think people are more upset at his cavalier attitude when he does things like kill the pool, raise taxes and utility rates. It's like he's trying to destroy everything that was done before him so he can recreate it back in his image (or something really creepy like that). April 2013 can't come to soon for me because I don't think the city could take much more of his change he promised us,this stuff sure wasn't what I thought he ment.

Boring, please let the pool discussion die.
