OK, we know that volunteerism works, how about this idea. I was just reading the N.T. online and there was a brief comment about someone providing entertainment for a brown bag lunch in Henry. I remember years ago Bloomington did this in their downtown square and don't know if they still do.
Do you think Peru could have a "brown bag" program and use Rotary Park? We know that there is lots of local talent and perhaps some would be willing to provide without cost some entertainent for about 45 minutes in the park while you enjoy your brown bag lunch.
Bring your own lunch or pick up some food at John's, Maria's or the Pizza House and walk down to the park. Don't know if the deli still makes sandwiches or not but if they do that would work too.
Could we do it?

Didn't know what heading to put this under but I'm stumped as to why it seems our law enforcement is seizing large sums of money in this area but no drug arrests are made and/or no drugs are found. How do we know there is money in a specific car that we stop or on the airplane at the airport if we don't suspect some type of illegal activitiy? Another $1 million was found in a car on interstate 80 and 251 after a traffic stop. Is it just a coincidence that we search certain vehicles that just happen to contain large sums of money? I personally would be much happier if we got the drugs instead of the money.
