An excellent article fellow bloggers. Take the time to read it. It's enlightening.

Where is the transpaency the Mayor Harl had promised during the campaign ? No televised council meetings, no open and current web site, no openiness of the committee meetings , holding grudges with a get even attitude, treat employees like -----,separate employees with phony reasons, etc. It appears that if you don't comb your hair correctly , you are on the list to GO!

All empty talk with supporters agreeing. Kind of two faced!

I allowed your post on this blog only to answer your comments.
"No televised council meetings" - Valid point that I have and am still discussing with the City Clerk and it has something to do with Comcast negotiations going on at present.

"Open and current web site"
Not aware that Peru was planning a new web site as they already have an updated new web site.

"no openness at committee meetings" You are totally wrong on this as I continue to attend committee meetings with no problems and allowed to ask questions from everyone there.

"treat employees like" Sounds like you are an ex employee let go for what reason I don't know. You say it is because you didn't part your hair correctly and I would say you are probably not telling us the truth or maybe even making this up as a friend of an employee.

How can you even answer those types of posts Lois? They don't even make sense and are vague and questionable. If someone has something valid to say why don't they just come out and say it in every day terms?

Linda, I do it to show all the intelligent people reading this blog that there are still a lot of people like this person reading the blog and making "dumb" comments and trying very hard to make the city look bad especially the Mayor. And it also shows how uninformed some people actually are.
and don't have a clue as to how the city is functioning. That means we have to try harder to get the truth out to people. That means facts as they truly exist.

We are starting a support group called "citizens for Growth in Peru" which means the Mayor/supporters MUST BE REPLACED in 2012.

Fund raising events will be scheduled soon. All interested to breakfast and discuss the plan of action stay tuned.

Lets see if both sides are heard on the various issues and lets see if this note is printed.

When transparency FOR ALL CITY MEETINGS ARE TELEVISED, it would be plain for all citizens of peru not only the 50 people that attend the meetings , to see the lack of leadership by the Mayor .
The proof of the leadership seen would eliminate this blog because ALL PEOPLE would see what they are paying for the $30,000 salary.
Let the truth be seen/heard.

To anonymous 6:00PM

I suggest you go to the City Clerks office with your complaints of lack of television coverage of the meetings. Perhaps you will be successful in getting it done.

Why not be transparent with your project and sign your name like I do.
Certainly would have more validity than hiding behind the anonymous name

Will look forward to your project, keep us updated. Always look forward to intelligent conversation.

Hear! Hear! I applaud your transparency. If someone believes in what they are saying and "knows" it to be true (not just conjecture on their part or malicious intent) - then why not put their name to it.

ANON 5:55 - We(who is we) are starting a support group (to support who or what)? All interested to breakfast (what does that mean-it makes no sense)? Is this just a copy-cat organization of the PAC? If so why not start your own blog? Why should Lois and Steve allow you to spout off on their site?

I really think you need a new calendar or at least be alert to the fact that the city of Peru does not have an election in 2012. And if you go to vote in 2 years none of the city officials will even be on the ballot.

You talk about a new group starting up and you don't even know when the elections in town will happen. I guess that tells us all we need to know about your "group"

FYI In 2011, 4 aldermen will be up for election and in 2013 The remaining 4 Aldermen, City Clerk, Treasurer and Mayor will all be up for electlon.

Print this out and place it on your fridge so you don't forget.
