A Closer Look at A Small Water Park Idea
Click on each to enlarge
Looks like a less expensive way to keep children cool during the hot months.
This is the little park in Ottawa with the water toys. Kids were having a ball and parents were sitting around the area, no need to suit up. It was great! We talked to some and they are so happy with the new park. Small shelter adjacent for a little picnic lunch afterward. Nice! Think Centennial Park would be a good location for something like this?
Sorry to hear you so sour on this. During the short time we were there, kids coming and going and we could see parents coming down the sidewalk with childen. Not meant to spend the whole day, that is what is nice.
New topic. I posted this on my blog and I hope you post it here also. This is a far more serious issue.
Last evening the area was struck by a series of tornados. Severe damage has been reported in Streator.
Thankfully the tornados did not hit Peru. However, the city did activate the warning sirens, as was appropriate. I heard the sirens on the west end, but they where not very loud. The sound was coming mainly from the north. I did not hear anything from the south. If I did not have my windows open, I doubt I would have heard a thing.
The Code Red Telephone system was not activated. I don’t understand why it was not. If the situation was serious enough to sound the sirens, the Code Red System should have been put to use.
Families can accomplish the same thing with a garden hose in there back yard and pay for the water and sewer fee . No city or citizen subsidy. Forget it, another bad idea.

Looks it was jammed with kids. So many kids you could hardly get under the water spray. Looks like a waste of money.
