Ironic that we are discussing school projects here in Peru and the last news I heard last evening is that Illinois will need to cut school funding from 89% (last year) to 85% this year. Somehow I believe there is a message about fiscal responsibility in there somewhere. Everyone wants the best education possible for their children in the best surroundings possible. Most of the time my children had excellent teachers but no always 100% possible. Was the present plan in progress when the last school change was made when Roosevelt was closed?
This is not new news and it has been going on for some time but I don't get your fiscal responsibility statement here. Are you still on the issue of the district using the construction grant? You do understand that these two items are unrelated right? The school has had to make cuts with the budget issues and state funding cuts but they are also getting a grant that will be potential savings to taxpayers in the long run. The money for one thing cant be used for the other.
