It's not "Rocket Science" it's "Water Treatment". The issue is elected officials who refuse to manage our city with proper ethicical practices. TEST has our mayor and aldermen so programmed to beleive they perform miracles with our water supply it is sickening. Nothing TEST does for Peru is unique or special in any way, shape, or form. If TEST had to compete on a level playing field the facts and the numbers "$$" would be very obvious to us all. That is why bidding was squashed by the "Gang of Seven" and Harl.
7:47 you're exactly right, but you know what they say -you get what you vote for! It's about time we get someone in office who understands free markets. How much time are you going to waste before you join a PAC?!?!
Anon 7:47 I disagree with you, bidding was squashed by Mayor Harl and the "Gang of Seven". You are absolutely correct in saying that there is nothing Test is doing quality wise or price wise that should make them a automatic choice. So why was bidding squashed? Mayor Harl raised the sales tax revenue by 1/2% to pay for the street improvements? Does he intend to do the same to pay for Test, Chapman, and the IMEA? Many have said he will have another raise in taxes before his current term is over. Will these be the reason why?
I highly doubt the aldermen would be in favor of another tax increase in such a short period of time. However, I never thought Potthoff would vote in favor of TEST without bids, so anything is possible. Do you think Potthoff and Harl have some sort of deal between them? It appears Potthoff is "acting" mayor even though Harl is mayor. Harl just sits in the meetings like a monkey, rudely talking to Schweickert when he should be listening to his aldermen speak, and then has to act like he heard what they said. Where's the line for the PAC? I want to be first in line!
