The symptoms come in many shapes and styles, but the “I’m smarter than everyone else” disease is a result of disrespect for individual freedom and private property rights combined with an overconfidence in one’s own knowledge of what is best for everyone else. America became the wealthiest place on earth because it was also the most free place on earth. The “I’m smarter than everyone else” sickness—found at all levels of government—is antagonistic to individual freedom and a threat to future prosperity for everyone.

very interesting post. After reading the post below on how someone was bragging about being smarter by getting in the township office, it fits with this article. I like to think that voters will be smarter next time with those involved in the township politics.
just saw in the Ottawa paper. Old Mautino has officially pleaded the fifth.
Of course want to know why? Do people really think the charges at Happy's were for just auto service? Everyone knows they sold Canadian pharmaceutics out of the shop. Wonder if any were billed as "auto or gas" expenses
money gets donated by special interest for "campaign purposes." vote is cast in favor of special interest. money goes in to happy's front door to cover "expenses". money comes out back door to cover frank's expenses.

Barnaby Jones definitely thinks he is smarter than everyone. Maybe he is... since he is lining up several public pensions and will retire at an early age.
Why don't you ask Bernabie how many pensions he has? Are you afraid to know the truth? He does not get any pensions other than his police pension. Quit spreading lies.
No doubt 11:01. I also love how people make it sound like it's some kind of free ride. To be fair the guy works his ass off and he could have retired as a police officer by now and yet he still works. Since when is that a bad thing. People like 8:06 are clueless and there is never a shred of truth in the statements. Note: "several public pensions" and "will retire at an early age." False. FALSE!
12:31 I remember when this blog started and the idiots were piling on Baker and all of his evil ways. One of the people on the blog said "I saw Baker going in to Spring Valley City Bank today!" I laughed so hard. It's a bank. It holds people's money. what is your point? Or are you that person?
you are right 11:01. He still has a couple of years before he can collect on all his public service pensions.
