I would like to take this opportunity to thank Lois and all the bloggers whose hard work and perserverance forced the city council of Peru to finally fix the Adventure Drive traffic embarrassment. There is no doubt that this blog and all of us who pushed and pushed Peru's elected officials to do something about it were the driving force behind the construction project described in the news yesterday. A special shout-out to Rodney Perez also for bringing the issue before the mayor and council almost three years ago when those phony elected officials were deliberately ignoring the pleas of all the local businesses up there to do something about the bottleneck. Without this forum to provide the honest people of Peru the truth behind the smoke coming from Peru government the people would have absolutely no source of honest and accurate information. The people on this blog who were forced to poke, prod, criticize, and cajole the city of Peru into doing this project deserve all the credit. If Peru's phony officials could have continued to ignore the debacle that is Adventure Drive they most certainly would have. Thank you to all on this blog that made this project happen.

You have to be joking. You think the blog caused the Venture Drive changes? That is so sad it's only a little bit funny.

Venture Drive new road is a waste. Like many other roundabouts throughout the country, we have adapted. No traffic jams this past holiday season. It was much to do about nothing. Business owners had a very short window waiting for customers to adapt to the roundabout. They will have the same complaint after the new road is completed.

7:26 This was another example of some small time politician creating chaos for the sake of chaos to make headlines. Don't you remember the traffic studies conducted by a few of those at city hall. We all fell off our chairs at the coffee shop finding out we have self professed traffic experts disguised as alderman.

Half a million dollars and there will still be problems. You know who will benefit? Yep the construction workers.

The project is just a bone for the inflatable Rat Men. Totally unnecessary busy work to distribute tax dollars and buy votes.

More lies. Not true. Many see it as a necessary project and no one is doing this to buys votes. Of course any other town does infrastructure work and its genius but when Peru does it it's for votes. Of course.

Hey where did everyone go who thought the council was crazy for not fixing it? Come to think of it, where did the bloggers go?

nope... vote buying for the rat men. the boss knows how to distribute money to his friends and buy votes for his other friends. maybe andy will come to town with a big cardboard check from Madigan.
