“It doesn’t take a majority to win, just a tireless minority that will keep starting brush fires in the mind and hearts of their fellow men.” Samuel Adams
If you witnessed some of the work done by these volunteers you will be amazed. They did many projects that should have been done within our city years ago. It's amazing how these individuals knew to pull weeds where needed. Not only did they paint, they scraped. Not only did they pull weeds (weeds that should have been pulled 2 years ago), they hauled them away. My question now is what is left for the 32 summer workers we added to our payroll to do? We hire out the grass cutting, the landscaping, and now the church group cleaned our city and parks. Oh, heard on the radio Saturday that apparently some of them (those who are on airport duty) wash the planes out there. Aren't the planes privately owned? Should our tax dollars be used to hire kids to wash them?
8:44 there are no summer employees working at the airport, only 2 adult employees who cut grass. Who on the radio said there were summer employees washing airplanes?
`8:44 There is so much that needs to be done. The summer help is working and getting projects done that need to be done. The projects the church volunteers are doing are those that the summer help don't get to, so you choose to complain rather than say thank you. And "you HEARD" does that mean it was the truth stop beating the I HATE THE CITY DRUM
If you would 8:25 please inform us of those projects that are being done by the summer helpers. Nobody hates the city drum but I can tell you that some of the projects that the church people performed should have been done years ago by the summer helpers. And, I am not complaining. If you read my post correctly you would have noticed that I stated that the work they did was amazing.
