That is why her Father "appointed" her to be Attorney General. The voters had nothing to do with her getting this job. They where just a necessary evil that her Father needed to overcome. With her in that position, how much corruption has been ignored? The Federal Government is the only one enforcing corruption laws in Illinois.
Just for the record, Lisa Madigan has won the popular vote by a huge margin of Illinois voters every time she has run. It's not even close. Her father did not "appoint" her. Most agree that she is actually a very effective attorney general.

Besides you spouting off nonsense, please be specific. Please explain how she has is a "shill" for her step father. Because if you actually did any thinking and research for yourself, you would know that she has at times been in direct opposition to her step father. You would also know that she received a huge amount of downstate Republican votes in the last election. Sorry, but these are not by Madigan. I am far from Madigan fan, but I much worse despise people who just stick to talking points and don't do any thinking for themselves. She's actually a highly effective Attorney General, despite the fact that Michael Megan has her stepfather.
The State of Illinois is now the "State of Madigan" - the only way to stop the Madigans is for people "down here" to back and fund candidates "up there" - we need our own "Carpet Baggers" to move to the Chicago Land districts, get elected, and vote the way we want them to. The people up their can be bamboozled into voting for them just like the Madigans do now.

Question, who costs the Federal, State, and Local governments more: A single mother of three in Chicago that does not have a job - Or a Downstate Republican Farmer from LaSalle County Illinois? Answer – the Farmer of courser. Our local farmers are sucking the tax coffers dry with subsidies, disaster assistance, property tax exemptions, and on and on and on. That is why Downstate Republicans love Lisa and her father. We need to do something about Farm Welfare. My vote goes to anyone that actually has to courage to call out these people and say what they really are. The modern farmer in North Central Illinois is nothing but a Welfare King or Queen that thinks they don't have to pay property taxes while polluting our atmosphere and water supply. They don't create many jobs, and those that they do hire are paid SLAVE Wages. Yes - American Agriculture still has slavery in the form of migrant workers. I'm tired of the Farm Bureau, LaSalle County Land Owners, and the other Agriculture Lobbyists that have teamed up to bilk the taxpayer out of millions of dollars every year. I'm tired of the "poor farmer" that can't afford to pay for schools, while the checks from the government for hundreds of thousands of dollars to attempt to plant corn on every square inch of the county. We need to take our County back from the FARM CABAL! Make them Pay their fair share!
Maybe her office has done very little to prosecute public corruption because there is actually very little public corruption in Illinois! I'm tired of people basing our elected officials. They do a good job considering many of the citizens are not very smart and need to be taken care of by public services. If the people would just do what they are told, the government would not be required to ben the rules now and then to take care of them.
Maybe if we removed the subsidies and started taxing farm land at a fair rate, there would be more land available to develop into industries that provide jobs. All that land wasted on corn when there could be factories. That is only part of it. The other part is that some of the labor things that "agriculture" gets away with need to reigned in. There is no clearer case of needing a union than in the agriculture industry - not in a factory! The RAT MAN should be protesting FARMS not donut shop construction sights.
Lets get back to the point folks. We have an Attorney General that by all accounts is incapable of or unwilling to stop the corruption. She eludes to the Illinois Law not giving her the authority to fight corruption but that is a pure copout. Her father controls the Illinois Legislature. If laws need to be changed why not work with her father to change the laws. Nope - you can't convince me that daddy has told her to leave sleeping dogs lie. And wink wink, look around the corner while I do this.... yup. That is the Illinois way.
