This blog is maintained for the sole purpose of allowing the people of Peru and those interested in the cities of the Illinois Valley to express their views.
“It doesn’t take a majority to win, just a tireless minority that will keep starting brush fires in the mind and hearts of their fellow men.” Samuel Adams
But Peru seems to have funds, check the agenda for Wednesday. Wonder if they would consider cancelling the meeting?

Just wait, property taxes will rise with all the spending and salaries given out during Harls term. Wonder if Harl will retire to a tropical island and performing wedding ceremonies free of charge? Leaving peru behind and it's taxpayers to pay for all his spending during his term. I will encourage all the youth not to return to peru or the illinois valley after their HS and college years. This is already happening, just ask people who have children in their 20's that have gone to college, or have joined the service. I know a couple if 20+ college graduates that did return to peru after college, they can't find a job in their field with their degree. One is working at I-Hop, another at a bank as a teller, and another at a pizza place. All 3 have college degrees and two have student loans. All 4 also were great students in high school and were involved in athletics. Very sad situation.
