Peru committee to meet with PSI ambulance service « AM1220 WLPO News

All of this activity and I had to stay home with the sniffles. Sounds like it was a busy meeting.

At last a discussion and the residents will even be allowed to be informed, I am impressed. Mark this one on your calendar!

Something must have precipitated this sudden meeting and I can only guess. It must have been a year ago when Chief King had all types of information ready to present to the council and I was told Ald. Mikyska told him "don't bother, we're not interested"
The Chief had based much of his research on the Princeton Fire and EMS service.
PVAS has had some new board members added but surely old officials would not have much bearing. Does the Medical Director have some direct influence on their future.
The full time fire engineers might be ready for the challenge but I don't believe many of the volunteers have taken that up. Anyone have numbers?

Major mistake!!! PFD is nowhere near ready and no one there is qualified to run an ambulance!!
At least Princeton's chief is a paramedic with experience.

The full time engineers are not ready. I know that two of them did not take the EMT class that was offered to the peru firemen. One is already an EMT and dont know about the fourth one. I also know that some of the officers did not take the class. So dont get upset PVAS you can still work with the peru fire if this goes through, because they will not have enough EMTs to respond with an engine and an ambulance. They cant even get enough people to respond to a fire call!
