The governor signed the bill to make this product illegal in the state of Illinois as of today.

What will be the methods of enforcement by legal agencies? There are many products which are illegal to use in public places but can be legally sold such as cigarettes. Being that this product is now illegal in Illinois it will be interesting to see what history will show for arrests.

I know this subject does not belong under this heading but where ?

What Gives with the city employees ? How much is enough ?
What I am talking about is the amount of dollar raises per hour both Heidi and Stephannie have recently received.

I have heard that they BOTH RECEIVED $.95 TO $1.50 PER HOUR RAISE.
Can anyone verify the dollar raise ?

I do not know how two people with less than 3 yrs senority at full time can receive such an increase in pay ? Are they that valuable ?
Is there justice on display here ?
What does it take to get such a jump in pay ?

I believe the balance of all employees got pennies for a raise in comparison .

What is going on with this administration ? Does the Mayor and City Clerk have money to burn (OUR MONEY) OR ARE THEY GETTING WORK OUPUT THAT MAY BE WRAPPED IN GOLDEN STATIONARY.
My God , Please help us ....

Are you serious 7:31? During these hard times how can we justify such outrageous raises? And, don't they have to be voted on by the council?

Maybe they want to be included with the Prevailing Wage. See legal announcement in Friday's NewsTrib.

If "bath salts" is now a illegal drug how many arrests were made this week-end in retail stores in Peru? Should be be no excuses when one offender is your next door neighbor and another is a little west? Are we waiting for someone or someones family to be injured by this drug and they take action on their own? To Serve and Protect had best be very aggressive on this subject and forget about racial profiling. We don't need individuals in our area who are hurting our long term residents by starting businesses to make a "easy buck".

If the truth is being told there are more than two sources of bath salts in Peru alone.

I heard about the bath salts 4 to 6 weeks ago and assumed it was being watched by the right people. I now want to know why the city council did not pass an ordinance banning these substances early on instead of waiting on the state to do so. Did someone in our city government miss something?
