Is that drain left uncovered all the time (appears so) or only when someone is present to make sure no child climbs the fence and gets trapped. Surely we are not that irresponsible - are we?

The core borings to determine what is under the city pool has been done and not made available yet to the general public. In an attempt to remove accumulated water beneath the pool, the city is trying to pump out what may be a sizable accumulation of water If we have a large amount of water at this time beneath the pool and it has only been filled once this year, what will be under the pool if an appropriate water level for swimming is attempted to be maintained and the pool continues to leak. It was said at the meeting last night, that the original shell of the pool is pretty much disintegrated and the 2 inches of applied gunite from several years ago is all that remains to hold water.
