To the above mentioned individuals - Tonight reminded me of the old saying.
It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool then to open ones mouth and remove all doubt.
Williams Aquatics did not tell you what you wanted to hear but instead told you about the code violations in our swimming pool and the need to apply for the necessary operating permits and you insult them by telling them you only want to hear about how to fix the loss of water and you don't want to hear about any violations.
And when many of the citizens left the council chambers it was to apologize for your behavior to the representatives of Williams Aquatics.

Not only did citizens have to apologize for our aldermen's behavior a very reliable source informed them that alderman Mertel asked (after the meeting) if they could start patching tomorrow!!! Ridiculous and absurd!!! These problems and concerns should have been addressed many years ago when they first began. We would then not be in the situation we find ourselves in today. Common sense should have prevailed!!!
44 years of Mayor Baker,it was time to get him out of office. I think its time some of the aldermen have been in office too long. They think they know more than professionals. Jack O'beirne made a fool of himself at the meeting. Also Jamie and Tony, I was embarassed for them. Its time for a change people, We have to get to work on some new blood in the Council. Election is comming up next year. There ought to be time limits on the years they can serve.
Anon 11:40 Term limits is the first step for office holders. They make political office a career, but it is also our fault for continually voting them back into office. The other issue is that no one will run against them.
Kristy Morwicki has made a comment on the News Trib website that I find offensive. The recommendation to use Williams Aquatic for the pool evaluation was proposed by Ferarri and seconded by Mertel at the April 12th meeting. If alderman Mertel did not want this company why would he second the motion? People seem to have lost all common sense and turned this serious situation into a personal vendetta. Safety, codes, and regulations have to be followed whether we like them or not. Children are our future -let's protect them as best we can.
Does anyone know if the core testing has been completed at the pool or has the weather halted any further testing?
