if we don't cut expenses, where do save the deficit $$ in the budget..whats the alternative?? Anybody? Bueller? Anybody?

Either raise taxes and/or cut expenses...not really difficult to understand. We all must chip in the help..regardless who caused the problem....and stop blaming unions, Madigan, Rauner. Hell!...we are all to blame for allowing this to happen...now stop bitchin' and solve it!

Not much on the agenda for tonight. What's up with that?

There is no pain of budget cuts in Peru folks. In fact, Peru is hiring more and more "administrative" staff to fill each and every vacant office space and cubicle at 4th and Fulton. Parking is becoming a little crowded but the overflow is parking at John's Place. Remember how Radtke was blowing at a recent meeting about the city payroll being less than it was four or five years ago.
Yea right!

Radke is right. You are wrong. None of things you say are actually facts. You only pitch a fit when someone is hired but you never talk about positions that have been reduced. The city is far more efficient than you will believe, not that you are interested in facts.

Speaking of cuts why are tax payers paying 140.00 to detail the Chiefs fire vehicle? I thought the firemen and summer helpers wash vehicles? Who is Ricks detailing service? are they a Peru service or is the city taking tax dollars out of town when we have Peru detail companies.

1:16 Please fill us in on the actual facts please. See that is the problem here, you say Radtke is right and 10:37 is wrong ,so give us the facts, because you are as much as fault at l0:37.

Please keep in mind that payroll might be down, but outsourcing costs are up. Always compare apples to apples.

Excuse me, isn't detailing fire departments vehicles the job of the full time fire guys at the station 24/7????????? All those guys do is sit, eat, sleeo, wait for a fire call to take an engine first out to call. I guess chief King is trying to spread the wealth. There is a Rick that I was told works full time at the fire station. Details please on expense???????

Why can't the fire chief clean his own vehicle? I have to clean my own. I would like to see the invoice. Makes no sense that taxpayers pay for that service.

I googled Rick's Elite Vehicle as listed on the disbursements and nothing local came up. This invoice needs to be foia'd and put here so we can see where our tax dollars are being spent.

3:19 - No! The Harl form of government is to spend tax money on local crony businesses.
