Lawsuit Against the City of Peru Discrimination by City and Peru Fire Dept.

http://www.newstrib.com/free/perez-sues-city-mayor-fire-chief-for-discrimination/article_ec96f7b8-0848-11e8-a0a1-4f3614da5cff.html

This undoubtedly will become a nasty topic with defenders on both sides. Be aware that your comment may not be posted or may be deleted if automatically posted. In other words I want no personal or racial discrimination comments as I am well aware that that problem exists within our City.

If you have facts that can be verified it will be accepted.

Lol. Give me a break. Now he wants free money

He was harassed for years but only made a complaint after he lost the Mayor's election? Sounds political.

To have the amount of nepotism and favoritism that exists in the political halls of the City of Peru you will have a equal amount of discrimination. This will not be the only case against Harl and King, as at least one more is a definite example of nepotism and misuse of political power.
How many lawsuits are presently ongoing against the City of Peru? Understanding is that the city had to pay the lady a lot more than thought for damage to her home on the north side. This payment was instigated by politicians lies to her and their advise to her to get a lawyer.

Sounds political, yes it is all political! What else did you think it was?

Free money, what is free money? Many have witnesses the treatment handed out to Mr. Perez at city council meetings by Mayor Harl and have heard of the harassment he has received over the years by fellow fireman with Jeff King as witness.
C,PFD Jeff King would not even have a job today if proper procedure was followed upon loaning his Peru City credit card to a unauthorized individual. This will cost the city a lot of money but it wouldn't be near as much as when the next case against King and Harl is presented to the legal system. Both of these people are way over their heads. King at best is a fire chief and no one knows what Harl does as he has hired people to perform the duties of Mayor and the little he has remaining to do is done behind doors at closed sessions of which many are illegal closed sessions.

Just read the Ottawa time and saw that Rodney Perez has filed a law suit against the city of Peru. Jeff King and the mayor.
For what? he resigned, I know the firefighters in Peru and none of them would EVER EVER mess with equipment because someone could die. You have to remember that Rodney is all about having his name in the paper.

Because you know the firefighters in Peru you rest assured that none of them would "EVER, EVER" mess with fire equipment. Rodney's action of filing a lawsuit should fill you with joy because he is searching to display himself as a pretending big story teller or a true unpretending revealer of the truth and you know which is correct.

In Rodney's past you claim he is all about having his name in the paper. Have you noticed any similarities when a present sitting alderman was the lone dissenting vote and this was always emphasized. What you have failed is to mention is that Rodney cast his vote according to what he felt was right or wrong and he had a good percentage of being right. From prior experiences I believe that this right percentage carries over to Jeff King and the mayor as representatives of the City of Peru also.

What is being ignored is that if similar experiences were handed out to any of the present council by fire dept members, the council and adm would be as overactive, as they are inactive, regarding the nationality offense to former Alderman Rodney Perez.
The Peru City Council has a responsibility to its citizenship to correct and discipline the Mayor and his appointed Chief, Peru Fire Dept Jeff King. In conclusion it seems that Peru is going towards another private discrimination lawsuit because of poor judgement. Management seems to need some continuing education regarding ethics and discrimination. Good thing we have a Human Resource person on staff. To bad it looks as if her job is simply a figurehead because no one seems to understand discrimination. Ask yourself if you as a individual were treated similarly at your workplace how would you react?

What do you believe will be the pay out when the City of Peru has to even the score for the two lawsuits filed against it this week? Maybe a good idea is to stop in at one of the local business establishments that makes a incredible living giving out odds rather than continuing the traditional Peru Police car drive-bys. Local scoop is that the Bears have a better chance of winning the Super Bowl than Peru winning one of the two lawsuits.

Who filed the 2nd lawsuit this week against the city? Was it another discrimination lawsuit? Just curious since you seem to be informed.
