New Police Station Innovation Venture by La Salle Peru Oglesby and Spring Valley

http://www.newstrib.com/free/cop-co-op-group-has-first-meeting/article_e6884c28-0c26-11e8-87e9-

So far Peru has been the driving force behind this new venture headed by Peru Police Chief Bernabei.

Appears to be many questions and I don't understand if it does not involve shared police forces what is the purpose of constructing a bldg. to be used as the headquarters for all the police departments?

Anyone have the answer? From this news article it sounds like the question was asked but I did not see an answer. Thanks to Art Giese and Julie Ajster for being present to represent not only themselves but the general public and hopefully will encourage others to also attend and ask questions.

I simply believe not enough public information has been made available yet and maybe it has not been compiled.

I thought the article was very informative and the press release that was posted on facebook few weeks ago was very informative. I think it sound to me anyway that they are just exploring things at this point which if true is a first in our area. Naysayers should wait for the fact to come out firSt. IMO

What do you mean by naysayers and why are you referring to naysayers?

Upon considering entering a partnership with each other don't you believe that each town will judge its advantageous and disadvantageous. The recent cost for two city officials to fly to China in comparison to all other local towns and pay for the two appointed chiefs are raising red flags throughout the Illinois Valley.
What is the starting base pay for each new trainee policeman of each of the 4 cities? How much time do Peru Police spend at big box stores and their problems that the other 3 towns don't have to because of lack of big box stores?

it seems the city of peru tried this consolidated theory with the township - but the wages paid in the city of peru are more ridiculous than what even the township was paying for some wages. Why dont they concentrate on doing a good job of running the city and stop trying to fix problems that are over their heads.
