Illinois is driving its citizens to profanity

Illinois is driving its citizens to profanity

This sure explains a lot of what I read here and even some of what I personally post.

Silly. Another Clickbait "news" article with very little verifiable data.

Maybe Illinois would be successful if certain individuals accepted the state as Illinois rather than Republican Illinois or Democratic Illinois.

11:04, there are two parts of Illinois. The Northeast Corner (Chicago Land) which is a hotbed of corruption and is generally ruled by criminals. Then there is the remainder - good people that are being held hostage by and are paying the bills for the criminals and organized crime syndicates that hold public office in the Northeast section of the state. If it was legally possible, we would do well to divorce ourselves from the people of Chicago Land or at least just start ignoring them and tossing their leaders in jail.

It looks like State Senator Dan Kotowski found himself a new SCAM. The Park Ridge Democrat will be quitting his elected seat in the Senate and allowing Democrat Party Officials to appoint a new Senator to do as the House Speaker says. Dan's new SCAM is as head of a "non profit" called Child Serve which is based in Chicago. The "non profit" serves "at risk" children in Chicago. Actually, it serves its board of directors and management with hearty salaries. It redistributes downstate tax dollars (about $200K per year) and other "donations" to the pockets of the "non profit's" employees. Kotowski will be paid approximately $250K per year on top of his State Pension. Total compensation for its board and management is around $650K per year. That is how the Democrat Party rolls in Illinois.

I agree with 11:04 a candidate runs for a office normally as a party candidate or as a independent. Upon being elected the candidate should no longer have as her/his prime interest his party but instead the betterment of the State of Illinois and its people.
The normal unethical custom of only voting along party lines has tarnished the reputation of today's political world. Frankly I have become confused if those I have voted for occupy a chair to represent their beliefs or the peoples beliefs.
In local, Peru, politics I believe that there is no place for party politics.

10:03 Amen. That has been my belief for a long period of time. Government should not be about the republican way or the democratic way. It should be about the people's way.

10:38, I know your trying to be funny, but you make no sense.

There are lots of RINOs in Illinois 10:38. In general, most of our politicians in either party are unethical. Right now, the slime effects them all. If it was possible, the best way to correct the situation is to arrest everyone in the state that is holding and elected office and put them in jail for life. All of them - good, bad, or indifferent. Just start over fresh with out existing office holders tarnishing the new ones.

Anon 11:23 Quinn and Rauner are the two most honest Gov's Illinois has had back to back, one a Dem. and the other a Rep., in a long time. Now it is a must to get rid of Madigan and Cullerton.

Anonymous said...

Mr. Quinn was, and still is, a pawn of the Chicago Democrat Party. He took his orders from Madigan and said what Madigan told him to say. Furthermore, he is no more a Democrat than Bernie Sanders. His is a Socialist like all the other Chicago Democrats.

12:21 What is your reasoning that Quinn is a pawn of the Chi. Dem Pty.
Your statements of Quinn and Madigan are descriptive - are they something you have personally seen, or something you have read or been told?

Anonymous said...

9:28 - you can tell by what he did while in office. Yes, it is something I have seen - for his entire term in office.

You can almost guarantee that any Democrat from "Chicago Land" is a criminal. The Chicago Democrats that are not currently in jail just haven't been caught yet.
