The city attorney dealt a serious blow last Monday when he told Waldoerf that he would not have time to complete a new contract by Monday thye 26th. Waldorf was attempting to rush it to a vote by Monday so that any opposition would have only a week to organize and educate the public on the situation. In reading the "Fish Wrapper" this morning it appears that Mr. Waldorf and Mr. Lukosus have made a serious miscalculation by not confirming with Schweickert in advance that a contract could be prepared in one week. The extra week may allow the public just enough time to let their elected officials know that this deal stinks to high heaven. CALL OR E-MAIL YOUR ALDERMEN PEOPLE! TELL THEM TO BID THE WORK! You actually have a rare opportunity here to make a difference. Do it!
Thank you, thank you, thank you Steve Weberski for the letter to the editor in today's New Trib. Call or e-mail your aldermen and mayor and voice your opinion.
Correction to the Public Property Meeting Agenda; The items for discussion should've been under "New Business" These items up for discussion have not yet been brought for discussion amongst the current committee, therefore it would be "New Business." Our committee will note the correction during our meeting.
It would not be Peru town meeting without an update on demolition. Looking over the Harl time in power I am reminded of Lego games where you have to bust everything to win.
Did you know that Caterpillar sends Harl and 150 a special ham every Christmas.
They blow it to bits and push it around the dinner table., drinking beer and making plans to drive all the vegetable and side dishes to tables in other towns. It's just like the council meetings.
Speaking of Taylor, where in the hell is he whenever he SHOULD be "inspecting"??? He has created a nightmare for a property owner at Cross & Market Street that just wants to get on with his rebuild and just around the corner is a tiny little house with anywhere between 8 - 10 people (depending on the day) living in it with what appear to be some "illegal activity" going on. Are there no tenant limits on rental property? Or is he simply afraid to confront the issue.
