OUR VIEW: Grants are good -- but then what? - My Web Times

OUR VIEW: Grants are good -- but then what? - My Web Times

Our aldermen specifically Ald. Ankiewicz is very much in favor of this proposed bus to bring shoppers to Peru if they wish to shop. I do agree with the article that we need to make sure it is a lasting project and not just while grant money is available. If you are using Firefox as a browser, you will receive a warning so either use a different browser or choose to ignore. After I was warned about this possiblity and finding out it was only Firefox with the problem, I choose to ignore.

If we had anyone within the city employment that was on the ball we would have had a grant already for a new swimming pool.
But then to bash the folks who are in charge is the wrong thing to do because I take it they are wonderful and so intelligent. They raise your taxes and your city utility rates, so take it with a smile.
I guess the thought is to elect more folks that support raising our rates and taxes , that is change ! WOW !
(By some of course that is ok, Not ME)

8:15 p.m. - If you were on the ball instead of just spewing mis-information I would not have to waste my time calling you out to explain exactly what rates and what taxes you are referring to and exactly who it is that you hold responsible for these "raises". You should also tell us what you claim to know about securing state grants so that we can use your expertise and connections in the future. As the election draws near there will certainly be a few people like you creeping around in the shadows of this blog sniping and critcizing the very thought of reform in Peru. You guys seem to prefer the "Ostrich" method of government. For 44 years you just believed whatever you were told and you buried your heads in the sand. So please try to provide some specific and factual information along with your comments. That's all we ask.
