I Will Not Accept Any Further Comments on Employees Attending IML

I feel that it serves no purpose for some people to continue to harshly and unfairly comment on the 2 city employees who will be attending the IML conference.  It has been agreed upon by the Mayor and Finance Committee to approve the expenditure for the trip. If some of you don't approve or like, that will be your problem.
If you wish to complain you can call a member of the Finance Committee (names are listed on this blog under committee members) and do your complaining.
This is final so do not send any postings about this.

There seem to be some people that do not understand that my reasons for preventing the same repetitious comments about 2 city employees who have done nothing wrong and don't need to be dragged through the mud simply because there are a couple of people who won't let it go. We know they don't like it and I have allowed numerous postings to the effect and now it is time for you to call the appropriate person and vent your thoughts and we will move on.

You're right Lois. If these individuals are that upset they should contact members of the Finance committee and voice their complaints. I believe the aldermen involved are Mertel, Ankiewicz, and Mikyska.

Well done Lois. You never can tell what subject matter is going to set off some of those "deep thinkers" out there who chosse to "obsess" about two employees going to a work related seminar. There is an obvious feeling of desperation among a couple of members of the Aldermen Defense League to divert attention away from the real question at hand. Which is....
Should any aldermen be attending the IML Conference at taxpayer expense? And if so, what conference expenses are appropriate for re-imbursement?
As the conference approaches(Sept23-25)we should re-visit these and other questions in a week or two.
